In 1933, Adolf Hitler's handlers decided to introduce the so-called "Der Ahnenpass", also known as "genealogical passport".

This passport confirmed that the holder was of Aryan origin.
This passport was necessary to gain access to museums, public buildings, theaters, schools and workplaces.
