Abstract:
In these five lectures, we will discuss Hadith in Islam and examine when Hadith began to be considered the second source of jurisprudence and Sharia. We will explore how Hadith was compiled and whether the system of transmission and compilation of Hadith can be trusted. Who were the critics of Hadith in the first two centuries, and how and with what arguments did they question the credibility of Hadith?
