💪🏻 HOW TO BE STRONG ENOUGH TO RETAKE IELTS

I hope that everyone of you guys will pass the IELTS test in the first attempt! However, it's not uncommon for candidates to fail their first test trial. If it has already happened, don't panic! Fortunately, the exam can be retaken as many times as you need to obtain the target score.

📌 First of all, analyze why your strategy didn’t work last time. Maybe your study plan was not sufficient. If you haven't dedicated enough time to preparation, you definitely need to re-plan.

📌 Your score also depends on your English background. If you a beginner in English, take your time to clear out the basics and remember - practice makes perfect.

📌 Writing is the most tricky module and requires a lot of practice. That's why you should consider working with a skilled tutor who can guide you towards the strategies you need and give a feedback on your writing tasks.

📌 Don't forget about practicing. Surround yourself with English. Speak English everyday for natural fluency, join an English speaking club, converse with your friends only in English.

🌟 EACH / EVERY - WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

1) We use each to refer to individual things in a group or a list of two or more things. Every is used to address a part of a group, which is a sequence. Often these words are interchangable. Compare:

 Each child received a present.
 Every child received a present.

2) Each is used with singular nouns (each country promotes) and plurals, but only when followed by "of" (each of the books is interesting).
On the contrary, every cannot be used with plurals, except when with "one".

 Every one of us 

(NOT every of us!)

3) In addition, the word each is used when there are only two objects in question: Jessica wore anklets on each ankle. (not every)

✨ HOW TO BOOST YOUR ENGLISH IN QUARANTINE?

With this pandemic situation throughout the world, it’s a real hassle for all of us to stay at home most of the time. I know from my own experience how difficult it is to concentrate and work in the homy atmosphere.

However, all of these fun activities will help you improve every single day!

🎮Play learning games. For example: Kahoot, QuizUp, Games on British Council that are considered to be a very useful language resource. What is more, you are able to learn and have fun at the same time.

📱Install language apps. Such ones as: Duolingo, Babbel, Lingualeo. You will have a great opportunity to learn new words every day. What makes these apps so fascinating is that your studying feels like a game which gives you both knowledge and pleasure.
⠀
🎬Watch English movies. It seems to be the most interesting and efficient way of improving your English vocabulary. For instance, there are lots of expressions and phrases that you are able to learn from watching your fav films or listening to your fav singers that will definitely be on your mind.

💻Join online lessons. If you find it difficult to learn something on your own, this is the best option for you. Now is the perfect time to start a course - there are many available online, including my 30-day IELTS Prep course.

📚 IMPROVE YOUR VOCABULARY - EASY WAYS

Here are my daily tips of upgrading your vocabulary and learning new words:

🔖 Read. The more you read (it can be magazines, articles, books) - the more new words will pop up in your mind once you start speaking with other people. Make sure you cover different topics!

🔖 Always use a dictionary. When you uncover a new word, make sure to check its translation and make an association with it (it can be an object or a whole sentence). In that way, you will remember this word more efficiently and it won't be difficult to recall it.
⠀
🔖 Learn a word a day. Use an already built calendar or create your own list in order to write down unfamiliar words or phrases with their translations. Carry this list around and don't forget about revising it!
⠀
🔖 Play word games. Such ones as crossword puzzles, anagrams, word jumble. It will challenge you and help with discovering new meanings of words using a fun tool to expand your vocabulary.

🔖 Take part in conversations. Simply, speak with other people, which will help you to learn new words and phrases, then write them down and study each word later on. You can submit a request to my Matching service and get a dedicated speaking partner completely for free!
