On 5 of June 1756, 266 years ago, Jean-Antoine Chaptal, comte de Chanteloup, was born – a French scientist initiated into martinism by Louis Claude Saint-Martin. Chaptal is also one of the links of the initiatory chain in martinism of Dr. Papus. Chaptal supported the French Revolution, and took a significant part in it. He invented a simple way to increase the production of gunpowder, which the revolutionary government needed. In Montpellier, then he headed the department of chemistry, then he was appointed Minister of the Interior under Napoleon, who, despite the protection of his part, refused to bias the recognition of sugar made of beet is better than sugar made of sugarcane. Concerned about the deterioration of the quality of French wine, Shaptal invented a way to improve it, which was called "shaptalization" in his honour.

June 17, 1868, 154 years ago, Pierre-Augustin Chaboseau (nomen mysticum Sar August) was born, one of the founders of the Martinist Order. Dr. Papus (Gerard Encausse) and Augustin Chaboseau exchanged martinist lines of succession to establish the Martinist Order in 1888. Pierre-Augustin Chaboseau was initiated in 1886 by his aunt. At that time he was twenty years old. According to him, "Initiation was an oral transmission of the teaching and a definite understanding of the laws of the Universe and Spiritual life, and this Initiation should not be understood as an Initiation conducted in ritual form." Augustin Chaboseau was a member of the Paris Society for Independent Esoteric Studies (Independant d'etudes Esoterique de Paris) and was the editor of the official organ of the society called "Le Voile d'Isis". In 1893, Pierre-Augustin Chaboseau left the Supreme Council of the Martinist Order. He decided to distance himself from the Martinist Order and immerse himself in social activities. Chaboseau also became a member of the French Lodge "Socialist Movement" of the Grand Orient de France and received the third Degree in the "Foyer Maconnique Lodge". In 1919, he left this Lodge and became a member of the co-Masonic Order "Le Droit humain". Out of respect for him, Papus never dismissed Chaboseau from his post in the Supreme Council of the Martinist Order. After the death of Papus, a split occurred, and Chaboseau , together with Victor-Émile Michelet and Lucien Chamuel, founded the "Traditional Order of Martinists" to emphasize their connection with the original Martinist Order.
