We are living in a world full of different desires; but, remember one thing: you can never fulfil your desires here; the place for that is Jannah which Allāh has created for the believers. It's shocking how a human always wants to have the latest things.
I don't know much about phones, and those who know me can tell you why, but this craze, especially amongst youngsters, of getting a new smartphone every time its released is a big Fitna. So much time and money is wasted. It seems that the manufacturers want the whole world to be lost in the pursue of new technology so that they become oblivious to the reality of death and the Ākhirah.
Some boast that their phones have so many apps and different books of Hadīth, Fiqh, etc, but how many Hadīth have they actually memorised?
The more I realise how this devise is destroying our Ummah, the more my hate aggravates for it.
Yes, I also have access to internet, otherwise I wouldn't be typing this post; however, the access is very limited and restricted. My humble advice, especially to the students of knowledge, is that they keep a simple phone, one that will meet their needs, and spend most of their precious time in pursue of knowledge and preparation for death.
"If the son of Adam had money equal to a valley, then he will wish for another similar to it, for nothing can satisfy the eye of Adam's son except dust" [Hadīth].

دوسروں کی اصلاح صرف جائز زرائع سے کی جاسکتی ہے

خود بھی گناہوں سے بچیں اور دوسروں کو بھی بچائیں

In the past few months, there has been several weddings where a crazy amount of money has been wasted on the razzmatazzes of booking fancy halls, hiring superpower cars and invitation cards. Weddings of this nature directly oppose the concept of the Qur'ān and Sunnah. In fact, the concept of the Sunnah is to have a simple and straightforward wedding. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said, the marriage with the most blessing is the one with the least expenditure (Bayhaqī). The Qur'ānic solution to poverty is to get married! Now, for many, it will be difficult to even comprehend and understand these concepts due to the over exaggerated and expensive weddings they have. Yes, it is sunnah to give a Walīma (food), and the food can be the best, but to spend thousands of pounds on cars, fancy halls, etc - when perhaps you're struggling to pay your bills - is nothing but ostentation, extravagance and, frankly, a major sin. The reason I say this is because many youngsters can't get married and fulfil their desires in a lawful way due to these pseudo standards of weddings. Fornication, free mixings and various other sins have become easy; whilst a great worship like marriage, which is half of Imān, has become extremely difficult. The people and elders in the society, who have made such ridiculous standards, cannot be exonerated from this blame. I've spoken to some of these people who like showing off their weddings and their justification for such nonsense is usually based on self respect and cultural reasons. They say "hamari naak kat jai gee" i.e. our nose will be cut off if we don't do this. God knows how big their nose is that it's still there despite being cut off so many times. Fornication, boyfriend and girlfriend relationships are spreading like fire amongst our society because of not following the Sunnah of marriage.
I will urge all those youngsters who want to get married that they keep their Nikāh simple and according to Sunnah. Forget what people say. They will talk for a few days and then they will become busy in paying their own bills. Half of these razzmatazz weddings don't even last long. The expiry date on them are extremely short.
