[•••Rasulullaah’s (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) combing of his blessed hair•••]

Hadith No. 1:
Hadhrat Ummul Mu’mineen (my mother) ‘Aaishah RA reports, “I used to comb the blessed hair of the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) during the menses.”

Hadith No. 2:
Hadhrat Anas bin Maalik RA reports that the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) use to frequently apply oil to his blessed head. He used to comb his blessed beard and often used to keep a cloth on his blessed head, which on account of frequent usage of oil seemed to be an oilman’s cloth.


Zubdah:
A few things are noticeable in this chapter:
Two rulings can be understood from the first hadeeth of this chapter:
a) It is Mustahab (commendable) to comb the hair
b) It is permissible to take this service from one’s wife during her menses. It is Haraam (impermissible) to have intercourse during her menses; everything else is permitted.
In this chapter, Imam Tirmidhi AR has mentioned two narrations which state that the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) sometimes used to comb his hair himself and that he also prohibited from its excessive usage. In a hadeeth of Abu Dawood too, there is a prohibition, from Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam), on combing daily.
(Sunan Abi Dawood, Hadeeth No. 4159)

‘Ulama have written that this impressibility is Tanzihi (Khilaaf Aula) and the prohibition is only when there is no appropriate requirement and the hair is not disheveled either. Else, there is nothing wrong.
The Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) used to place a cloth on his blessed head so that the Amamah (Turban) doesn’t get soiled. And this cloth looked like the cloth of an oilman due to the excessive use of hair oil.

Regardless of this, it was a miracle of the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) that neither the cloth got dirty nor lice fell therein. Even bugs (tick) could not have sucked the blood; as Allaamah Munaawi AR has reported that never did a fly sit on the blessed body of the prophet (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam).
The Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) used to comb from the right side first. This was not specific with combing rather anything whose existence is noble and adoration, it is a Sunnah to prefer the right side first.

کیونکہ اردو میں مسائل پڑھ لینے کو وہ علم ہی نہیں سمجھتے (حالانکہ) اردو میں علمِ دین پڑھ لینے سے بھی وہ فضائل حاصل ہوسکتے ہیں
جو احادیث و قرآن میں علم کے لئے وارد ہیں۔

The Kohl (Surmah) applied by Rasulullaah (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam)

Hadhrat Jaabir bin ‘Abdullaah RA reports that the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) said,
“Apply Kohl (Surmah) made from Antimony before sleeping. It sharpens the vision and helps grow the eyelashes.”

One of the narrations of Hadhrat ibn ‘Abbaas RA is:
ُThe best amongst your Kohl is Antimony.

Zubdah:
Kohl is prepared from different rocks viz Black, White, Blue, Yellow, Reddish and it is an effective medicine for a human eye and a thing of adornment. Kohl is also counted among things of beautification such as oil, comb, henna and perfume.
There are three benefits of using Kohl: an adornment for a human body a cure for the ailments of the eye. The most important of all, following the Prophet’s (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) Sunnah, which is the real purpose.
Hence, to apply Kohl in the eyes is Mustahab.
It is more beneficial to apply the Kohl at night before sleeping as it stays for a longer duration and permeates more through the pores.
There are varied narrations on the number of times it should be applied.
Thrice in both the eyes as this is odd numbered.
Once in both the eyes as this is also odd numbered.
Thrice in the right eye and twice in the left eye, their sum total five is also an odd number.
In some narrations, there is an encouragement to especially use Kohl from Antimony. This Kohl is Reddish Black found in eastern countries/land. But it is for eyes which are compatible with it, otherwise the sick eye shall impair its vision.
Therefore, the Sunnah will be established with normal Kohl but Kohl from Antimony has got more virtue.

شیخ العرب والعجم حضرت مولانا شاہ حکیم محمد اختر صاحب نوراللہ مرقدہ

ابن حجر عسقلانی رحمہ اللہ فرماتے ہیں کہ اولیا کے ذکر کا اور اولیاء اللہ کااتنا اونچا مقام ہے کہ فرشتے ان کا ذکر سننے آتے ہیں،گھیر لیتے ہیں ۔گناہ گاروں کے ذکر کو سننے کے لیے فرشتے اپنا ذکر چھوڑکرآتے ہیں۔کیوں صاحب!کسی کی دال روٹی پر کوئی بریانی والا آئے گا؟ان کو ہمارا ذکربریانی معلوم ہوتا ہے اور ہمارے ذکر کے مقابلے میں ان کو اپنا ذکرکم تر معلوم ہوتا ہے۔جس کی دو وجہ ابن حجر عسقلانی رحمہ اللہ نے لکھی ہیں فتح الباری شرح بخاری میں ،کہ فرشتے یہ دیکھتے ہیں کہ یا اللہ!یہ جتنے انسان مومن ہیں یہ بغیر دیکھے تجھ کو یاد کررہے ہیں اور ہم تجھ کو دیکھ کر یاد کررہے ہیں توجوذکرعالم شہادت کا ہوتا ہے اس سے ذکرعالمِ غیب کاافضل ہوتا ہے۔
آپ بتائیے کوئی کسی کو دیکھ کر محبت کررہا ہے اور ایک آدمی بغیر دیکھے ہی اسے یاد کرکے رو رہا ہے ۔ہم لوگوں نے کبھی اللہ کو دیکھا؟نہیں!لیکن بتاؤ اللہ کو یاد کرکے روتے ہویا نہیں؟ تو فرشتے کہتے ہیں کہ اے اللہ!آپ نے کیسی مخلوق انسان بنائی ہے کہ جو بغیر دیکھے آپ کو یاد کررہی ہے۔فدا ہورہے ہیں،شہید ہورہے ہیں،رو رہے ہیں،روزہ نماز کررہے ہیں۔ دوسری وجہ یہ ہے کہ فرشتے کہتے ہیں کہ یہ کیسی مخلوق ہے کہ بیوی بچے ہیں اور تمام فکرآٹا چاول کی ہورہی ہے اور ہزاروں فکر کے باوجود اللہ کو یاد کرتے ہیں۔جب کہ ہمیں کوئی فکرنہیں لہٰذا ان کا ذکر افضل ہے ہمارے ذکر سے۔اس لیے ہمارے ذکر کے وقت فرشتے ہمیں گھیر لیتے ہیں۔جیسےاس وقت اللہ کا ذکر ہورہا ہے تو ان شاء اللہ فرشتوں نے ہمیں گھیر لیا ہے آسمان تک اور جب فرشتوں کا ماحول ملے گا تو ہمارے اندر فرشتوں کے اثرات نہیں آئیں گے؟اس لیے بزرگوں نے نصیحت کی ہے کہ جہاں اللہ والے رہتے ہوں جہاں اللہ کاذکر ہوتا ہو وہاں جاؤ۔ان شاء اللہ تمہاری اصلاح ہوجائے گی تمہارے اخلاق فرشتوں جیسے ہوجائیں گے کیونکہ فرشتوں میں رہو گے تو فرشتوں جیسے اخلاق آئیں گے۔حضرت مولانا اسعداللہ صاحب رحمہ اللہ ‘ناظم مظاہرالعلوم میرے شیخ کے استاد یہ شعر پڑھا کرتے تھے
گوہزاروں شغل ہیں دن رات میں
لیکن اسعدؔآپ سے غافل نہیں
اورایک شعر اور پڑھتے تھے نظر کی حفاظت کے بارے میں چونکہ مولانا خود بھی بہت حسین اور عاشق مزاج تھے۔عاشقوں کو بہت زیادہ مجاہدہ کرنا پڑتا ہے مگر ان کا مشاہدہ بھی قوی ہوتا ہے جس کا مجاہدہ قوی ہوتا ہے اس کا مشاہدہ بھی قوی ہوتا ہے۔تو فرماتے ہیں
عشقِ بتاں میں اسعد کرتے ہو فکرِ راحت
دوزخ میں ڈھونڈتے ہوجنت کی خوابگاہیں
اے اسعد!تم حسنیوں کے عشق میں آرام تلاش کرتے ہو اور جنت کے مزے دوزخ میں تلاش کرتے ہو
ہتھوڑے دل پہ ہیں مغزِ دماغ میں کھونٹے
بتاؤ عشقِ مجازی کے مزے کیا لوٹے
آج نوے فی صد لوگ پاگل خانے میں اسی نظر کی حفاظت نہ کرنے کی وجہ سے ہیں۔چین سے رہنے کے بارے میں اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتے ہیں:الابذکر اللہ تطمئن القلوب۔صرف اللہ کی یادہی سے تم کو چین ملے گا۔

[•••How to Stop Masturbation•••]

Allah Ta'ala has created man with innate carnal desires, and has made Nikah a lawful and dignified avenue to discharge these desires.

Under normal circumstances, Nikah is Sunnah. If a man's sexual desires reach a stage where there is a strong fear that he will be involved in Zina (fornication), it will then be Waajib (compulsory) for him to make Nikah. At this juncture, shyness is no excuse. The man will have to approach his elders and request them to make arrangements for his Nikah.

Nikah should not be delayed or avoided for fear of poverty and want. In the Ahaadith, we are told that Nikah creates Barakah in one's sustenance. Allah Ta'ala has taken it upon himself to assist that person who performs Nikah in order to protect his chastity. Nikah is a simple and inexpensive affair in Islam. The errant customs of societies have made it difficult for others. The solution is to abandon all such customs and conduct the Nikah strictly according to the Sunnah. Nikah, then will not be a burden, rather it will release one from a burden.

The next step would be to guard the gaze. It is, thus, imperative to strictly guard the gaze. Where it is practical, avoid all such situations where ones gaze may fall on Ghayr Mahram (women not prohibited in Nikah) females. TV, books, magazines, internet, newspapers, should be shunned.

Should one's gaze accidentally fall on some woman, immediately lower the gaze. This is not difficult. It only requires some courage and training. Some points that may assist in this are:

1. Consider that this is not a calamity but rather an opportunity to win a big prize. It is a once in a life opportunity to strike a huge windfall. In the Hadith, we are told that a person, who, after having been tempted, lowers his gaze, Allah Ta'ala will grant him the sweetness of Imaan. What more can one ask for? The one who has the sweetness of Imaan has everything. Others strive their entire life for this very goal of finding the sweetness of Imaan. Here is the opportunity to acquire this in a split second. Therefore, lower the gaze and in your heart make this transaction with Allah Ta'ala that, 'O Allah! I am lowering my gaze for you. So you grant me your share of the deal, i.e. the sweetness of Imaan.

2. By maintaining the gaze, one is in fact moving to the depths of Jahannum (hell). And by lowering the gaze, one is ascending the highest ranks of Jannah.

3. Consider the reality of the woman at whom one is gazing. If she does not groom herself or apply perfume for one day, she will look dreadful and stink. For a number of days every month she has impurity pouring out of her. If one had to just go near such impurity, one will wish to flee. Imagine if she went to the toilet and forget to flush and, if you had to enter the toilet, will you still have the desire to gaze at her? If this woman does not have Deen, then by raising her arms and exposing her unsightly armpits, she will give out the smell of a skunk. These are some thoughts (although undignified), will assist one in taming the evil desire to look at women.

4. Try as far as possible to remain in the state of Wudhu. In the Hadith, we are informed that Wudhu is the weapon of a Mu'min. With this weapon, it is much easier for him to thwart the onslaughts of Shaytaan.

5. Try to remain in the company of the true friends of Allah Ta'ala. The true friends are those that, when you sit with them they remind you of Allah Ta'ala and their company produces a desire for the Aakhirah (hereafter). The company of such people is extremely effacious in imbuing the obedience of Allah Ta'ala, and in cultivating an abhorrence to sin.

6. There must surely be somebody who you have a lot of respect for, e.g. your mother, father, grand parents, Ustaadh or Shaykh. Consider if that person was present, would you indulge in the evil of masturbating. The very fact that the presence of such a person will deter you is sufficient to show that you do have the strength to abstain from this evil.

When the presence of such a person will be a cause for controlling one's desires, consider that fact that the Malaaikah (angels) are with you and are watching. Progress and consider that Allah Ta'ala is watching you. Do you not feel ashamed of His presence whereas you feel ashamed of the presence of a human being. Is this the degree of respect that Allah Ta'ala deserves?

May Allah Ta'ala save you and every Ummati from this evil, Aameen.

پس جو لوگ خود کو علماء سے دور رکھتے ہیں اور تبلیغی اجتماعات میں بہت بڑا مجمع دیکھتے ہیں تو سمجھتے ہیں کہ ہمارے سوا کوئی ہے ہی نہیں،
میں کہتا ہوں کہ بنگلہ دیش میں مثلاً دس کروڑ مسلمان ہیں، اگر ان میں سے ایک کروڑ تبلیغ میں لگے ہیں تو نو کروڑ مسلمانوں کو کون دین پہنچائے گا ؟؟
یہی علماء جو مساجد میں ائمہ ہیں، مدارس میں پڑھاتے ہیں خانقاہوں میں تزکیہ و اصلاح کا کام کر رہے ہیں، اگر سارے ڈاکٹر بستر لیکر گاؤں گاؤں نکل جائیں اور بیمار لوگ ڈاکٹر کے پاس پہنچے تو معلوم ہو کہ وہ گشتی شفا خانہ لیکر تین چلے لگانے گئے ہیں تو مریض کا کیا حال ہوگا ؟؟
لہذا جس طرح ان ڈاکٹروں کی قدر کرتے ہو جو دکان لئے شہروں میں بیٹھے ہیں اسی طرح ان علماء و قراء و حفاظ کو بھی عزت سے دیکھو جو شہر میں کام کر رہے ہیں، نورانی قاعدہ پڑھانے والے کی بھی عزت کرو، بخاری شریف پڑھانے والے کی بھی عزت کرو، جو دین کے جس کام میں لگا ہوا ہے اس کو فریق مت بناؤ رفیق بناؤ، دین کا ہر شعبہ اہم ہے اور ہمارا خواہ وہ تعلیم کا شعبہ ہو، تدریس کا شعبہ ہو یا تبلیغ کا شعبہ ہو لہذا یہ عنوان اختیار کرنا کہ صاحب ہم جیسوں سے جاپان میں اتنے لوگ مسلمان ہو گئے اور امریکہ میں اتنے مسلمان ہو گئے اور علماء سے کچھ کام نہیں ہو رہا ہے یہ عنوان دین میں تفرقہ ڈالنے والا ہے،
ارے! علماء فرض میں لگے ہیں اور تم نفل میں لگے ہو، تم علماء کے پیر کی خاک کے برابر بھی نہیں ہو سکتے، قیامت کے دن فیصلہ ہوگا تب پتا چلے گا،

کفار کو اسلام پہنچانا مستحب عمل ہے اور دین کی حفاظت کرنا فرض ہے جو قرآن پاک کی حفاظت کر رہا ہے حدیث پاک کی حفاظت کر رہا ہے وہ فرض کام میں لگا ہوا ہے وہ اہم ہے یا جو نفل میں لگا ہوا ہے وہ اہم ہے ؟؟
بادشاہ ایئر کنڈیشن میں بیٹھا ہوا دستخط کرتا ہے تو کیا اس کی عظمت کو وہ مزدور پا سکتا ہے جو ٹھیلہ کھینچ رہا ہے ؟؟
لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ صاحب ہم نے تو جنگلوں میں، دریاؤں میں پسینے گرائے ہیں اور مولوی لوگ پنکھوں کے نیچے بیٹھ کر بخاری پڑھا رہے ہیں تو مولانا لوگ ہمارے برابر کیسے ہو سکتے ہیں ؟؟
اب پسینہ کی قیمت بھی سن لو! ہر شخص کے پسینہ کی قیمت اس کی عقل و فہم اور دین اعتبار سے ہوتی ہے کیا ساری امت کا پسینہ نبی کے ایک قطرہ پسینہ کے برابر ہو سکتا ہے ؟؟
حضور صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وسلم فرماتے ہیں کہ جس روشنائی سے علماء کتاب لکھتے ہیں وہ روشنائی قیامت کے دن شہیدوں کے خون کے برابر وزن ہوگی،
ملا علی قاری رحمتہ اللہ علیہ نے اس حدیث کی صحت کی تصدیق کی ہے کہ یہ روایت بالکل صحیح ہے

جس طرح جانور کی قربانی واجب ہے کیا گناہوں کے تقاضوں کی قربانی واجب نہیں ہے؟ جانور کی قربانی سے واجب ادا ہوجائے گا اور بہت ثواب ملے گا لیکن گناہوں کے تقاضوں کی قربانی سے آپ ولی اللہ ہوجائیں گے اور جانور کی قربانی نہ کرنے سے سزا ملے گی، اللہ تعالیٰ ناراض ہوجائیں گے اور گناہوں کی قربانی کرنے سے آپ ولی اللہ ہوجائیں گے تو جانور کی قربانی کرکے سزا سے بچنا بھی ضروری ہے اور گناہوں کے تقاضوں کی قربانی کرکے ولی اللہ بننا بھی ضروری ہے
