In a move to regulate the environmental effects of #shipping, the European Parliament has voted for the inclusion of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) by 1 January 2022.
The vote calls for firms to cut the annual average CO2 emissions by more than 40% by 2030 from ships over 5,000 gross tonnes. This effort will enable the sector to contribute to the EU’s trillion-euro push to achieve a climate neutral economy by 2050.

Logistics firm, Chinese Brothers LTD, joined the Digital Freight Alliance (DFA) earlier this year and have doubled their bookings from SeaRates since. Membership with the alliance opens doors through our 206 members across 88 countries and counting.
