Patrick Ringgenberg, born in 1970 in Lausanne, is a graduate of the Haute Ecole d'Art et de Design (HEAD) in Geneva, a graduate in religious sciences from the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes (Paris-Sorbonne), and a doctor in History from the University of Geneva. He is the author of several books and articles on Islamic, Medieval, Byzantine, and Far Eastern arts, Iranian culture and history of religions.
