We are not in Houston, but we have a problem.
Tonight, the Italian 🇮🇹 news broadcast aired an interview with Al Jolani, the leader of the "new Syria 🇸🇾". With great rhetorical skill (we should learn from it...), he managed to reassure the interviewer and, I imagine, the audience, while effectively confirming that Syria:🇸🇾 will become a jihadist state. All this happened while, in Magdeburg 🇩🇪, an Islamist attack struck the crowd at the Christmas market (at least 11 dead).
But this is just one side of the jihadist advance.
Since the French were replaced by the Russians 🇷🇺 in the Sahel, the following has been the progression of jihadists in the region. The "Islamic State" has expanded its penetration, particularly in the tri-border region of Liptako-Gourma. (Il Manifesto reports that jihadists now control twice the territory they did when the French left and the Russians took over).
