SMRP Approved #Reliability #Centered #Maintenance ( #RCM ) Workshop

Date: 28 June : 2 July
Time; 5.30 :10.30 pm
Method : Online

About The Course
Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) is the process of determining the most effective maintenance approach. The RCM philosophy employs Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Real-time Monitoring (RTM1), Run-to-Failure (RTF- also called reactive maintenance) and Proactive Maintenance techniques in an integrated manner to increase the probability that a machine or component will function in the required manner over its design life cycle with a minimum of maintenance. The goal of the philosophy is to provide the stated function of the facility, with the required reliability and availability at the lowest cost. RCM requires that maintenance decisions be based on maintenance requirements supported by sound technical and economic justification.

Learning Objectives
Understand RCM theory | Understand RCM Principles | Be conversant with RCM terminology in accordance | Practical Application of RCM (worked examples during the course) | Understanding of the importance of a continuous improvement culture | An awareness of RCM benefits at different levels within an organisation.

Target Audiences
An awareness course designed for personnel who will be RCM review group members, and the Managers who are responsible for them and the assets and processes under review. Such personnel include Managers, Operators, Maintenance Technicians, Operations and Maintenance Supervisors, and Experts such as Process Engineers or Rotating Equipment Engineers.

#Reliability #Centered #Maintenance (#RCM) is a technique to recognize equipment maintenance strategies that encourage maintainability and reliability. RCM introduces the tools to identify sufficient maintenance and operational policies for equipment based on the probability and outcome of its failure modes.

RCM training course teaches you best practices to answer the seven questions of RCM through exercising real world scenarios. you will investigate the tools necessary for developing a maintenance program in a rational and organized way that determines the hidden, safety, environmental, and operating outcomes of failure.

RCM: The seven basic questions
The RCM process entails asking seven questions about the asset or system under review, as follows:
what are the functions and associated performance standards of the asset in its present operating context?
in what ways does it fail to fulfill its functions?
what causes each functional failure?
what happens when each failure occurs?
in what way does each failure matter?
what can be done to predict or prevent each failure?
what should be done if a suitable proactive task cannot be found?

Training Objectives
Describe RCM process
Recognize the differences in RCM techniques
Identify the importance of data and content prior to conducting any form of strategy operation
Identifying and categorizing assets
Understand the importance of FMECA in RCM
Perform an RCM assessment
Know how to make the strategy work
Perform a task comparison
Identify the work packaging should be done
Recognize the techniques necessary for RCM implementation
Understand a living program
Understand the content of a RCM plan
