I've always loved this bit from the score to the 1989 Dr Who story "Ghost Light". It starts off atmospheric and eerie (but also very sonically flavoursome!) before suddenly becoming fast-paced and thrilling, with a simple bass thud amidst an unfolding sense of danger, chaos and uncertainty.
