LumiNation 2020: Imagining Migration and Migrants in Singapore by Anju Mary Paul
A talk by Anju Mary Paul that explores how potential migrants rate and rank different destination options, discussing how different groups of migrants think about Singapore before they arrive and after their arrival. The second half of this talk considers the power of imagination in constructing the figure of the migrant, making some seem more worthy than others and some groups more easy to integrate into the Singapore identity.
