Ternary groove
This student superpower…

and it has none of a secret!

11 years-old experienced beatbox feeling beginner/average. For 12 years of practice, he mainly practiced the same beats, and didn’t feel much evolution since his first years.

Staying in tempo was hard for him, and he didn’t really know what he was doing. His practice consisted mainly of reproducing what he heard.

When we met for lessons, I noticed he was learning fast!

His problem was not that he was bad or that he was stuck because of an intrinsic problem. His problem is that he didn’t have the tools!

He didn’t know where to start to evolve. When we practiced the basics of timing, his own beats on the metronome, everything suddenly became easier for him to understand.

His superpower is that he decided to go for a change, to take accountability in his practice. He has an impressive learning ability! The motivation and work makes everything, no matter your pre-dispositions.

Even if this dude has an excellent learning capacity, let me share the story of another 12 years-old experienced beatboxer, suffering from ADHD, whose learning capacity is very slow!

This student is also feeling average. Meanwhile he can do very complex things, and well structured tracks, performing very basic beats was still tough for him.

He had a similar problem as the previous student, being a lack of understanding and conscientization in his beatbox.

We started from the basic timing beats, and took the time to learn at his own pace.

We’ve done more than 20 sessions together and he’s still here, working between each session.

Even though he feels demotivated sometimes, even though he’s facing doubts, even though he feels disadvantaged because of slow learning, he’s motivated and he’s a DOER!

Another student is an extreme doer. He transposed the discipline he has in sports to beatbox. He created his own training programme and worked out every single day. Sometimes it was harder so he missed a few days, but that’s not a big deal.

After some time, he realized that his training programme was not the best for him, so he updated it, and now he feels comfortable with it.

There’s no secret, no hack. Here are the cheat codes you can apply to elevate your beatbox level :
Renew yourself in your way of practicing. Take an hour or two to think about what you would be doing wrong, or what you can do more efficiently.
Take action and stop overthinking! Just do, see where it leads, and analyze after some time. If there’s no big change, change your way of working out (work more or work differently). If you feel improvements, you’re in the right direction!

If you’re lost in your practice, and don’t know what to do to level up, beatbox or production wise, you can book me for 30 minutes for free at https://calendly.com/nazca-beatbox

Thank you for everything!

Sneak peak of a solo track!
1 year ago, I released my first electronic EP, called ''Heat It'', and it was an exciting aventure.

It all started with HEAT IT, the first track of the EP.

In end 2022, I was messing around in my DAW, exploring electronic textures combined with beatbox sounds.

I was having so much fun, that I started making new tracks, and that‘s how ENDLESS, ASPER and AWAY came to life.

RAISE was born from a solo Beatbox Track, that turned into an electronic house music.

NEW ERA saw daylight from French Beatboxers‘ styles mixed with electronic textures (and that‘s mostly your favourite track of the EP).

During the process, I learnt a lot production, mixing, and mastering wise.

After the release of it, I kept doing music, and kept improving in the previously mentioned fields.

It is always fun to take a step back and see how much you improved in a year.

Since then, I released a few Beatbox x EDM remixes

Find the EP here:

Stay tuned! More music soon 🙏

Don’t count on battles to build a beatbox career.

I had the following limiting belief for so long:

I can’t properly make a living off beatboxing if I’m not a champion.

That’s complete nonsense.

The beatbox scene has a huge presence in battles, but what if we look at other fields in music?

Do DJs actually live from battles? No.
Do singers live from battles? No.
Do instrumentalists live from battles No.

There are so many different kinds of hustles for a musician to live from music.

• touring
• producing for others
• sound design work for clients
• teaching
• selling courses or products that suits your audience’s needs
• passive income from copyrights / neighboring rights
• licensing your music
• youtube
• streaming

The key is to build an audience. Don't wait for a label to spot you. It’s always a high risk for a record label to sign an artist with no audience.

Why would they sign if you do not release music, or that you don’t know how to make money from your music, or if you get only 100 views when releasing music?

You'll be of interest to a record company if you come and say “Hey, I have 50k+ people supporting me when I release music”.

That’s why I am releasing my first solo beatbox EP “Depths Of Work”, on August 2nd. You will find the following beatbox tracks:

I Just Wanna Flow
Depths Of Work
Raise
Get Used To My Flow

I asked you where you listen to music to, and 63% of you listen on spotify:

So, you can pre-save the EP on spotify here: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/nazca1/depths-of-work-2

You know me for my EDM beatbox remixes (and stay tuned more will come), for my tutorials and for my battle performances.

But I do not want to wait for battles anymore to create 100% beatbox music!

See you on August 2nd for the release of my 100% Beatbox EP “Depths Of Work” - and on every tuesday of August, I will release a video clip for each track!

Thank you for reading me.
