Pavel Durov, born on October 10, 1984, in St. Petersburg, Russia, had a passion for technology and programming from an early age. This passion led him to create the social network "VK" at just 22 years old. VK quickly gained popularity in Russia and neighboring countries, but due to political issues and pressure from the Russian government, Durov was forced to leave the company in 2014.

After leaving VK, Durov decided to create a secure and censorship-free messaging app. In 2013, along with his brother Nikolai, he launched "Telegram." Telegram πŸš€ quickly became popular because it offered features like encrypted messaging and large group chats, allowing users to share information and news without fear of censorship or government surveillance.

However, this freedom came at a cost. Durov has now been arrested in France and is facing serious charges:

πŸ”ΉInvolvement in the distribution of child pornography
πŸ”ΈInvolvement in drug trafficking
πŸ”ΉFraud by an organized group
πŸ”ΈParticipation in a criminal association to commit crimes
πŸ”ΉOperating an online platform for illegal transactions
πŸ”ΈRefusal to provide information or documents requested by authorities
πŸ”ΉConcealing crimes as part of an organized criminal group
πŸ”ΈOffering encryption services with the intent of providing privacy features

Although these charges sound severe, it's like prosecuting the head of the U.S. Federal Reserve for organized crime committed using the dollar. In reality, these accusations are seen as attempts by governments to suppress freedom and privacy. Durov is being targeted for the principles he stands for, and today, he is recognized as a champion of privacy.

Currently, Pavel Durov has been released on bail of 5.5 million euros but is not allowed to leave France as he awaits trial. Some rumors suggest that he was invited to France for a dinner meeting by President Emmanuel Macron, but this has neither been confirmed nor denied.

In Durov's absence, Telegram’s management stated:
βœ… According to security protocols designed by Durov himself, if he and his team are ever arrested, critical user data will be deleted from the system to ensure it never falls into the hands of governments.

This demonstrates how much Durov and his team value user privacy and how they resist political pressure. They believe that the security of personal data should always be a top priority and should never be compromised.

Support for Durov is growing rapidly, with notable airdrops joining the movement, such as NatCoin, which awarded DOGS tokens to users who were in Platinum and Gold leagues and completed the special DOGS mission in the NatCoin bot. This airdrop was similar to the one conducted in the Bloom bot. The efforts of DOGS should also not be forgotten.
