🛑 Used To - Past Habits

"Used to" indicates that something was repeatedly done in the past, but is not done anymore.
برای بیان اینکه کاری در گذشته به طور تکرار انجام شده ولی دیگر انجام نمی شود استفاده می شود.

✅ Sophie used to bite her nails.
سوفی عادت داشت ناخن خود را بجود.

✅ I used to play basketball , but I got injured.
من قبلا بسکتبال بازی میکردم ولی آسیب دیدم.

✅ He used to spend a lot , but now he's careful with his money.
او زیاد خرج می کرد ولی حالا مراقب پول خود است.

✅ They used to eat lunch with us, but now they think they prefer to eat alone.

♦️ Used for unspecific times during a day, month, season, year.

"Were to" is used to describe that the conditional "if" clause is very unlikely to happen.
ساختار were to+ simple present برای بیان اینکه احتمال وقوع جمله ی شرطی خیلی کم است استفاده می شود. این ساختار از جمله ساختار های جملات شرطی می باشد.

✅ If I were to call my him, I would regret it.
اگر قرار بود به او زنگ بزنم، پشیمان می شدم.
