Never knew this until recently, but the Kurt Russell film Soldier (which I put into the category of 'so shit its almost good') is actually set in the same fictional universe as the film Blade Runner. The script for Soldier was written by David Peoples who co wrote the script in '82 for Blade Runner and multiple references can been seen through out. For example the wreckage of a 'Spinner' can been seen on the junk planet, and in Russells characters service history, it can been seen that he fought in the battles of Tannhäuser Gate and the shoulder of Orion.

The European Court of Justice has ruled that European Union countries may not take into account the number of people onboard a ship when considering the confiscation or impounding of said vessel.
This comes on the heals of attempts by the Spanish and most notibly Italian governments to impound NGO ships which help to ferry racially foreign migrants across the Mediterranean sea to Europe from Africa, in such numbers that the vessels were radically over the limits allowed by their cargo and transport certificates.
Subsequent to this ruling national governments may no longer use their respective port or government authorities to inspect, seize or impound vessels without a court order.
The European Court of Justice, in ruling in favour of the European Union and NGOs, has in effect made it illegal for national governments to control the number of people being rapidly shipped to Europe on board migrant smuggling and NGO vessels.
It is remarkable how blatant this ruling is, and demonstrates to all just how little regard the European Court of Justice and the European Union have for their own populations.

I ended up doubly illustrating the point: I couldn't find an image that was definitely from the 2000s, since the 2010s and 2020s are visually indistinguishable from that decade!

This line of argument, or rather, this line of intellectual self-abasement, can be used to excuse mindless gore movies, extreme pornography, dreadful nihilistic art, and of course, dehumanising architecture. After all, what does it mean to "dehumanise", and can you prove that X does actually dehumanise people...? How do you really know that situating someone's formative years in a jungle of rotting concrete cuboids affects their perception of the world in any way...?
I think that, prior to the age of scientism and materialism, everyone would have instinctively recognised the following statements as being so self-evidently true that a man would debase himself by asking for them to be "proven" to him:
1. frequently watching shitty gore movies will degrade your perception of the world, society, people, humanity, and yourself
2. living amidst dreadful architecture will do the same
3. gazing upon ugly art, art that is deliberately and crassly ugly, will degrade your notion of beauty and help you to lose faith in the very concept of beauty.
(Of course, retard moderns would take issue with the implicit claim that people have "faith" in "the concept of beauty", and would question whether the loss of that faith is actually damaging for a person, and would question the concept of faith itself as well. But I've confronted enough retardation for one day.)
