What does a cashless society look like❓
A cashless society sounds absurd, however it is on its way. Many governments across the world and large financial services companies are advocates of digital currencies as it keeps us in line with the technological revolution in which we are facing today (rise of mobile phones, contactless payments etc). But what will a cashless society really look like?📲
There are many benefits to this new and improved society, such as easier currency exchange while travelling internationally.✈️ Changing your money to a local currency has and will never be easier than when we are in a cashless society. Also, travelling in a country that accepts cashless transactions (hopefully a number of countries around the world soon), you will not have to worry about how much money you need to withdraw from a bank as your mobile device can store it all for you💱💹

It's instantaneous, quick, easy and much more secure than carrying cash physically with you📈 Carrying cash is one of the most common factors within crimes today. However, using cryptocurrencies to pay for things will avoid these issues. For example, a study by American researchers found that crime in Missouri dropped by 9.8% as the state replaced cash welfare benefits with Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards!
Overall, if more countries implement cryptocurrency as a legal tender, there will be less time and cost associated with handling, storing and depositing paper money⏰ We will not need to waste time printing bills or waste resources to move money around as protecting large sums of cash could become a thing of the past in a cashless future💶
