Sufyan Ath-Thawri رحمه الله said:

⁩ "الدعاء في تلك الليلة ‌ليلة القدر⁩ أحب إلي من الصلاة".

“Du’a in the night of Qadr is more beloved to me than Salah”

قال ‌ ابن رجب⁩: "مراده أن كثرة الدعاء أفضل من الصلاة التي لا يكثر فيها الدعاء".

Ibn Rajab commented: “What he meant is that abundant Du’a is better than prayer in which Du’a is not frequent.”

وقالﷺ : "أقرب ما يكون العبد من ربه وهو ساجد، فأكثروا الدعاء".

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The closest a servant is to his Lord is when he is in prostration, so increase in supplication.”

Don’t neglect Du’a on this blessed night!

عن وكيع قال: خرجنا مع سفيان الثوري في يوم عيد فقال: إن أول ما نبدأ به في يومنا غض أبصارنا.

ابن أبي الدنيا في الورع ٦٦

Narrated from Wakī' [who] said: we went out with Sufyān Ath-Thaurī in the day of 'Eid, so he said: "The first thing we do on this day of ours is lower our gaze"

🔸 Warning regarding the symbol that appears in the shape of a flower

We had previously warned about the spread of this symbol, and we are issuing the warning again today because we see it repeatedly used among sisters — including some well-off sisters who may have overlooked investigating its meaning and background.

Please be informed that the symbol in question is known as the "Cross of Saint John", and it is also referred to as the "Maltese Cross" or "Clover Cross" in some Western designs.
It is an ancient religious symbol associated with historical Christian institutions and was sometimes used as an emblem by knights or religious orders such as the Knights of Saint John.

📌 Important notes about the symbol:

This four-pointed shape carries a Christian religious connotation, even if it doesn’t appear as a traditional cross.

Many fashion houses use it as a decorative design without realizing its original symbolism.

At its core, it is not a flower, but a geometrically shaped cross.


⚠️ Caution is necessary, and imitating — even unintentionally — may open doors we are unaware of.

▫️ The Prophet (peace be upon him) said صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
"Whoever imitates a people is one of them."
Narrated by Abu Dawood in his Sunan (Book of Clothing, Chapter on Men Imitating Women, Hadith No. 4031).

▫️ And he said صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
"Do not imitate the Jews or the Christians."
Narrated by Ibn Majah in his Sunan (Book of Clothing, Chapter on Wearing Fame-Seeking Clothes, Hadith No. 3607).

▫️ Ibn Abbas رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُما said:
"Whoever imitates a people is one of them. Do not obey the People of the Book in everything."
"Aḥkām Ahl al-Dhimmah" (Vol. 1, p. 161)

We ask Allah to grant us insight and awareness in what we wear and acquire. O Allah, Ameen.

مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَن يَسْتَغْفِرُوا لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَلَوْ كَانُوا أُولِي قُرْبَىٰ مِن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ

It is not for the Prophet and the believers to seek forgiveness for the muhshrikīn, even if they were close relatives, after it has become clear to the believers that they are from the people of the Hellfire.

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ‎
