Benefits of Lowering the Gaze #2
The second benefit of lowering the gaze: Lowering the gaze extinguishes the fire of desire. Desire opens the door to evil, heedlessness, and fear, leaving the heart immersed in what it craves and fears, heedless of Allāh and distracted from His remembrance. It becomes preoccupied with things other than Allāh, overwhelmed by its affairs, and the love of this world dominates the heart. We ask Allāh for safety for the entire Muslim nation.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said “The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday." (Muslim)
"O you who have attained faith, when the call to prayer is made on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave aside all selling; that is better for you if you only knew." (62:9)
Perform the following:
- Perform Ghusl/Shower (Bukhari) - Sunnah
- Apply Fragrance/Musk (Bukhari) - Sunnah
- Use the Miswak/Toothbrush (Ibn Majah) - Sunnah
- Wear the best and the cleanest of your clothes (7:31) - Fardh
- Send Salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ (Abu Dawood 1047) - Sunnah
- Seek the hour of acceptance (Sahih Muslim 852b) Sunnah
- Clip your nails - Mustahhab
- Arrive early to the Masjid (Al-Muwatta 5/226) - Sunnah
Among the Blessings of Friday: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Friday is twelve hours in which there is no Muslim slave who asks Allah ﷻ for something but He will give it to him, so seek it in the last hour after 'Asr." (Various)
"This day is a festival which Allah has ordained for the Muslims." (Ibn Majah)
"When Friday comes, the angels sit at the doors of the Masjid and record who comes to Jumu'ah prayers. Then, when the Imam comes out, the angels roll up their scrolls." (al-Nisa'i)
"No Muslim passes away on Friday, or it's night, but that Allah will protect him from the trial of the grave." (al-Tirmidhi)
"Whoever takes a bath on Friday, purifies himself as much as he can, then uses his (hair) oil or perfumes himself with the scent of his house, then proceeds (for the prayer) and does not separate two persons sitting together (in the mosque), then prays as much as (Allah has) written for him and then remains silent while the Imam is delivering the Khutba, his sins in-between the present and the last Friday would be forgiven." (Bukharī)
Do not forget to read Surat al-Kahf. Our Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday will have a light¹ between this Friday and the next." (al-Sunan al-Kubra)
¹ light means guidance & great reward
"If anyone learns by heart the first ten verses of the Surat Al-Kahf, he will be protected from the Dajjal" (Muslim)
The Prophet ﷺ said: "The best day that the sun has risen upon is Friday. On it, Adam was created. On it, he entered Paradise, and on it, he was expelled from it. And the Hour will not be established except on Friday." (Tirmidhi)
It is recommended to recite Surat al-Kafirun and Surat al-Ikhlas in the two Sunnah rak‘ahs of Fajr and Maghrib: https://islamqa.info/en/answers/85349
Surat al-Kahf may be read during the night or the day of Friday (Jumu’ah). The night of Jumu’ah starts from sunset on Thursday, and the day of Jumu’ah ends at sunset. Therefore, the time for reading surat al-Kahf extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday: https://islamqa.info/en/answers/10700
It is prescribed to recite Soorat as-Sajdah and Soorat ad-Dahr [al-Insaan] in Fajr prayer on Friday, and there is nothing wrong with always doing that. But if there is the fear that some people may think that it is obligatory to always recite them, then it is prescribed for him not to recite them sometimes: https://islamqa.info/en/answers/121175
Ibn al-Qayyim رَحِمَهُ الله said:
“Friday is the day when the people of Paradise will receive the ever-increasing reward. It is the day when they will see Allah, the Exalted. Those who were the earliest to go to the mosque on Friday will be the first to receive this honor… Thus, the nearest to Allah were those nearest to the Imam on Friday. The residents of Paradise are eager for Friday, the day of such an increase, due to the honor they will receive on that day.”

Ibn al-Qayyim رَحِمَهُ الله said:
"Friday prayer is one of the most important obligations in Islam, and one of the greatest gatherings of the Muslims. Gathering on Friday is more important and more obligatory than any other gathering apart from ‘Arafah. Whoever neglects it, Allāh will place a seal on his heart."

Recommended Recitation In the Two Sunnah Rak‘ahs Of Fajr and Maghrib - Islam Question & Answer
It is recommended to recite Surat al-Kafirun and Surat al-Ikhlas in the two Sunnah rak‘ahs of Fajr and Maghrib.
Fawa'id from Sharh Ad-Dā' wad-Dawā' #3
Shaykh 'Abdur-Razāq Bin 'Abdul-Muhsin Al-'Abbād Al-Badr
1. Dua' is beneficial if the one who does it fulfills its conditions.
2. If the Dua' fulfills:
• a heart that is present
• the six times where Allāh answers Dua' (1. the last third of the night, 2. right after the Adhān, 3. between the Adhān & the Iqāmah, 4. before the salām in the obligatory prayers, 5. when the Imām goes onto the minbar on Friday, 6. in the last hour after 'Asr on Friday)
• having Khushū' in the heart
• facing the Qiblah
• being on purification
• raising the hands to Allāh
• saying salām on the Prophet ﷺ after it
• repentance before & after the Dua'
• making Tawassul with the names and attributes of Allāh
• making Tawassul with la ilāha illa Allāh
• giving Sadaqah before it (meaning that you always give Sadaqah when you can and not that you go and give Sadaqah whenever you want to make Dua')
3. The best thing you can make Tawassul with are the names and attributes of Allāh and also with Tawhīd (la illāha illa Allāh).
4. Some scholars said the best name of Allāh is Allāh and some said it is Al-Hayy Al-Qayyūm.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Call upon Allāh while being certain of His response, and know that Allāh does not respond to the supplication of a heart that is heedless and distracted."
The Prophet ﷺ mentioned the Tashahhud and then said:
"Then let him choose whatever supplication he wishes [after it]."
"فَاسْتَقْبلَ نَبيُّ اللَهِ ﷺ الْقِبْلَةَ ثُمَّ مَدَّ يَدَيْهِ فَجَعَلَ يَهْتِفُ بِرَبّه"
رواه مسلم (١٧٦٣)
The Prophet ﷺ faced the Qiblah, then raised his hands and began calling out to his Lord.
The Prophet ﷺ heard a man say:
"O Allāh, I ask You that I bear witness that You are Allah, there is no deity worthy of worship except You, the One, the Self-Sufficient, who does not beget and was not begotten, and there is none comparable to Him."
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"He has asked Allāh by His Greatest Name, which, when invoked, He responds, and when asked, He gives."
The Prophet ﷺ heard a man say:
"O Allāh, I ask You because all praise belongs to You. There is no god but You, alone without partner. You are the Most Generous, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Possessor of Glory and Honor."
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Indeed, you have asked Allāh by His Greatest Name, which, when invoked, He responds, and when asked, He gives."

It was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
"Shall I tell you about the Greatest Name of Allāh? It is the supplication of Yūnus."
A man asked: "O Messenger of Allāh, was it exclusive to Yūnus?"
The Prophet ﷺ replied:
"Have you not heard His saying: 《 So We responded to him and saved him from distress. And thus do We save the believers 》. Any Muslim who supplicates with it in their illness 40 times and dies in that state will be given the reward of a martyr. If they recover, they will emerge forgiven."

Shaykh 'Abdur-Razāq Bin 'Abdul-Muhsin Al-'Abbād Al-Badr
1. Sometimes people make a specific Dua' at a specific time and then it is answered so people think that it was answered because of the wording of the Dua'
• This is like a medicine that is required at a specific time and then someone takes it in that time and it works so people think it works at every time
• Not just for a specific time but also if he made another Dua' before it, gave charity, was in need, etc
2. This could also be for someone who does Dua' at a grave and then they think it is because of the grave
3. The same thing if he makes Dua' for something that is not permissible and then he gets part of that thing
4. Those who said they leave Dua' because everything is decreed: one makes Dua' to take the reasons for doing things, just like you have to eat food for nutrition
5. Allah decrees things and He decreed their reasons (so, the reason for things to happen is Dua')
6. Dua' is a weapon against the enemies
7. From the best ways to get closer to Allāh is by doing good deeds
8. Committing sins brings even more negative outcomes

Fawa'id from Sharh Ad-Dā' wad-Dawā' #5
Shaykh 'Abdur-Razāq Bin 'Abdul-Muhsin Al-'Abbād Al-Badr
1. From the doing of good deeds more good deeds come
2. From sins comes punishment
3. Tawakkul requires actions and taking the reasons for the things you want to occur
4. Just as someone has to eat well and exercise to take care of his body, he has to do good deeds and leave off sins to take care of his soul, connection to Allāh & Ākhirah

Benefits of Lowering the Gaze #3
Among the benefits of lowering the gaze is that a person becomes free, not desiring what is not his. A servant cannot achieve this until he lowers his gaze. A person does not set his gaze upon something unattainable; rather, a person attains only what has been decreed for him and what he can achieve through what Allāh, the Exalted, has permitted. However, if a person lets his gaze wander here and there and becomes attached here and there, he will experience pain and confusion, as he desires what he cannot attain. A person must be content with what Allāh has apportioned for him and find sufficiency in the Book of Allāh, the Exalted.

1. Many sinners depend on the Ayāt of forgiving and they ignore the Ayāt of punishment
2. The Ayāt that Allāh forgives are to promote repentance, and they say we can just sin and then Allāh will forgive us
3. Some people depend on the Ahādīth about fasting ‘Arafah, or about what is between the Jumu’ahs, so they go and do all sins and then they say they are forgiven anyways
4. Some also say “we assume good about Allāh and that He will forgive us”
5. Rejecting the attributes of Allāh also leads to committing more sins (besides the ruling of this in kufr and Imān)

Benefits of Lowering the Gaze #4
Lowering the gaze is a reason to dedicate oneself to the matters of the Hereafter. A person must work for the Hereafter, for it is the eternal life. Those who focus on the Hereafter are the people of high ambition, those who ascend and progress through repentance and righteous deeds for the Hereafter. On the other hand, those who let their gaze wander are among those who cling to laziness and idleness, wasting their time neglecting righteous deeds. The most dangerous thing in a person's life is to squander time. Therefore, the servant must not waste any moment of their time and should dedicate their life to obedience to Allāh, the Exalted.

Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said
that one amongst the denizens of Hell who had led a life of ease and plenty amongst the people of the world would be made to dip in Fire only once on the Day of Resurrection and then it would be said to him:
O, son of Adam, did you find any comfort, did you happen to get any material blessing? He would say: By Allah, no, my Lord. And then that person from amongst the persons of the world be brought who had led the most miserable life (in the world) from amongst the inmates of Paradise. and he would be made to dip once in Paradise and it would be said to him. 0, son of Adam, did you face, any hardship? Or had any distress fallen to your lot? And he would say: By Allah, no,0 my Lord, never did I face any hardship or experience any distress.

that one amongst the denizens of Hell who had led a life of ease and plenty amongst the people of the world would be made to dip in Fire only once on the Day of Resurrection and then it would be said to him:
O, son of Adam, did you find any comfort, did you happen to get any material blessing? He would say: By Allah, no, my Lord. And then that person from amongst the persons of the world be brought who had led the most miserable life (in the world) from amongst the inmates of Paradise. and he would be made to dip once in Paradise and it would be said to him. 0, son of Adam, did you face, any hardship? # Benefits from Al-Jami in Bulugh al-Marram
Hadith 1:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
Six are the rights of a Muslim over another Muslim. It was said to him: Allah's Messenger, what are these?
Thereupon he said:
When you meet him, offer him greetings;
when he invites you accept it.
when he seeks your council give him,
and when he sneezes and says:" All praise is due to Allah," you say "Yarhamuk Allah" (may Allah show mercy to you) ;
and when he fails ill visit him;
and when he dies follow his janazah(funeral prayer).
Points related:
- Accepting invitations is only when there is no haram present in that gathering.
- The reward for attending janazah:
Narrated Abu Hurairah:
If anyone attends the funeral and prays over (the dead), he will get the reward of one qirat, and if anyone attends the funeral until the completion (of the burial), he will get the reward of two qirats, the smaller of them being equivalent of Uhud, or one of them being equivalent to Uhud.
Abu Dawud narrated it and Al-Albani graded it Saheeh (authentic).
- If the invitation is intended to celebrate an innovation then it impermissable to attend.
- Celebrating with a gathering for finishing a book is allowed (not sunnah) as Umar رضي الله عنه did when he memorised Surah al-Baqarah.
- A gathering after a circumsision is allowed as well, not sunnah.
- The Janazah is a fardh kifayah.

# Benefits from Al-Jami in Bulugh, Chapter of Manners
Hadith 2:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
Look at those who are lower than you and don't look at those who are at a higher level than you, for that is better-suited that you do not disparage Allah's favors.
In the chain narrated by Abu Mu'awiya's he said: Upon you.
The hadith means at those under you(in wealth and such) so that you thank Allah for the things he gave you and don't look at those above you(in wealth and such) so you belittle the blessings of Allah عز وجل

Benefits of Lower the Gaze #5
Lowering the gaze is a victory over the self that commands evil. It involves enduring what one dislikes because Allāh loves it, and detesting what one loves because Allāh hates it. The one who lowers their gaze prioritizes the love of Allāh over the desires of the self. Whoever does not overcome their own self will not overcome their enemy. A person must strive against their own desires, align their self with what Allah loves, and get used to conquering their own self in order to lead it, rather than letting it lead them.
