قال إسحاق بن عبد الرحمن بن الحسن (١٣١٩ هـ):
«ومن تغذى بكلام المتأخرين من غير إشراف على كتب أهل السنة المشتهرين، ككتاب السنة لعبد الله بن الإمام أحمد، وكتاب السنة للخلال، وكتاب السنة للالكائي، والدارمي، وغيرهم، بقي في حيرة وضلال»
[الدرر السنية (338/3)]
Ishāq ibn Abdir-Rahmān ibn Hasan (d. 1319h) said:
“And whoever nurtures himself by the words of the latecomers, without staying within the scope of view of the famous books of the people of Sunnah, such as Kitāb As-Sunnah by ‘Abdullāh ibn Al-Imām Ahmad, and Kitāb As-Sunnah by Al-Khallāl, and Kitab As-Sunnah by Al-Lālakāī, and Ad-Dārimī and others, he will remain in confusion and misguidance.”

یَـٰقَوۡمِ إِنَّمَا هَـٰذِهِ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَا مَتَـٰعࣱ وَإِنَّ ٱلۡـَٔاخِرَةَ هِیَ دَارُ ٱلۡقَرَارِ
زُیِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ ٱلشَّهَوَ ٰتِ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَاۤءِ وَٱلۡبَنِینَ وَٱلۡقَنَـٰطِیرِ ٱلۡمُقَنطَرَةِ مِنَ ٱلذَّهَبِ وَٱلۡفِضَّةِ وَٱلۡخَیۡلِ ٱلۡمُسَوَّمَةِ وَٱلۡأَنۡعَـٰمِ وَٱلۡحَرۡثِۗ ذَ ٰلِكَ مَتَـٰعُ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡیَاۖ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسۡنُ ٱلۡمَـَٔابِ
فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ﴿ ٣٧ ﴾ وَءَاثَرَ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡیَا﴿ ٣٨ ﴾ فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَحِیمَ هِیَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ﴿ ٣٩ ﴾ وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفۡسَ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ﴿ ٤٠ ﴾ فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ هِیَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ﴿ ٤١ ﴾

Fawa'id from Sharh Ad-Dā' wad-Dawā' #1
Shaykh 'Abdur-Razāq Bin 'Abdul-Muhsin Al-'Abbād Al-Badr
1. The book is an answer to the question someone asked to Ibnul Qayyim.
2. It is a very important book that reminds people to repent to Allāh.
3. It is especially important in these times where the fitan have spread.
4. What is clear from the book is that the questioner had sins with an impermissible form of love, so this book is extremely important today where impermissible relationships and pornography and masturbation have spread, especially amongst the youth, because all of these are a reason for loss in this world and the next.
5. There is a cure for every disease. This is for diseases of the heart or soul and the body. The Prophet ﷺ clarified that the disease of ignorance is lifted by asking people of knowledge.
6. The Qur'ān is a healing (especially Surat Al-Fātihah)
قال الله تعالى:
《 وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَا يَزِيدُ الظَّالِمينَ إِلَّا خَسَارًا 》
سورة الإسراء، الآية ٨٢
ص ٢٩٠
Allāh ta'ālā said:
《 We send down the Qur'ān as a healing and mercy for the believers, but it only increases the wrongdoers in loss. 》
قال رسول الله ﷺ:
"ما أنزل الله داء إلا أنزل له شفاء"
رواه البخاري (٥٦٧٨)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Allāh has not sent down any disease except that He has also sent down its cure."
قال رسول الله ﷺ:
"فإن الله لم يضع داء إلا وضع له دواء غير داء واحد الهرم"
رواه أحمد (١٨٤٥٤)

Fawa'id from Sharh Ad-Dā' wad-Dawā' #2
Shaykh 'Abdur-Razāq Bin 'Abdul-Muhsin Al-'Abbād Al-Badr
1. This book was a reason for many people leaving off sins and going on a way that pleases Allāh.
2. Many scholars praised this book.
3. One should share this book as much as possible, either by sharing the classes, or by helping in printing the book, or by sharing it in a digital form.
4. In the spread of the fitan nowadays, especially online, this book is very essential to help the Muslim fight this.
5. From the best cures is Dua'.
6. One should make Dua' for everything he needs, whether it is a pain in the body, or a pain in the soul, or a plan you want to complete.
7. There is a weak Hadith in Al-Mustadrak "الدعاء سلاح المؤمن" "Dua' is the weapon of the believer." However, the meaning is correct, and there are many other Ahādīth that testify to this (Shawāhid).
8. Dua' changing Qadar means that Allāh decreed in Al-Lawh Al-Mahfoudh that the Dua' is a reason for the decreed thing to take place.
9. One should not make some Dua' then leave it, because it could be that the answer is close and then he leaves it.
10. The comparison to one who leaves Dua' before the answer is like one who has a tree which he gives water, and then he stops giving it water soon before it is fully grown, so the entire tree dies.
قال رسول الله ﷺ:
"الدعاء هو العبادة"
رواه أحمد (٨٧٤٩)

《 وَيَدْعُ الْإِنسَانُ بِالشَّرِّ دُعَاءَهُ بِالْخَيرِ وَكَانَ الْإِنسَانُ عَجُولًا 》
سورة الإسراء، الآية ١١

Benefits of Lowering the Gaze #1
Lowering the gaze is among the acts of worship that are required of the believer day and night, morning and evening, and in all situations. Just as the religion of many people has been lost by allowing their gaze to wander to what is forbidden, the faith of many has been magnified because of their lowering of the gaze.
