Zad Academy is an opportunity to take your Islamic Studies to the next level in the English language


I welcome you all to Zad Academy, an institution teaching you the Islamic curriculum for free

Each semester will be three months long, consisting of these particular studies. The Participant will study five days a week, three live lectures daily, totaling an entire semester. Participants will also be quizzed weekly, then monthly tests, and a final exam.

Those who complete the full program will be given an ijaza certificate in the two years you graduate. Participants must be at least 16 years old to enter.

The conditions of the correct Hijāb according to the Qur'an, Sunnah & Salaf:

1. It covers the whole body
2. It is not fragranced or perfumed
3. It is not an adornment
4. It is thick and not transparent
5. It is loose and not tight
6. It does not resemble the clothing of men
7. It does not resemble the clothing of disbelieving women
8. It is not worn for fame (to show off and to impress people)
9. It is worn with no makeup, not even eye blush or lipstick

Shaykh Ibn al-'Uthaymeen رَحِمَهُ الله said:

“Ḥijāb is not from the angle of custom and blind-following. Rather, it is from the angle of affairs which Allāh and His Messenger commanded with.”

Shaykh Ibn al-'Uthaymeen رَحِمَهُ الله said:

“The environment has a great affect on 'Aqeedah and behavior of a person.”

1. Do not make fun of the people who have been misguided after they were guided because this is a way in which Allah can misguide you. Instead, you should be grateful to Allah because He guided you, and you should humble yourself. Making fun of people leads to arrogance.

2. Stay away from Al-Laghw. This is speech or actions with no benefit. Instead, focus your time on pleasing and doing to Ibadah.

3. Seek knowledge. Doing so will give you a great benefit in the dunya and the akhira, and this is one of the best ways to get closer to Allah.

حَفِظَكَ الله شيخَنَا

Characteristics of the student of knowledge:

1. Seeking knowledge intending to bring one to closer to Allah
2. Seeking knowledge of the Shariah for its memorization
3. Intending to lift yourself from ignorance
4. Intending to lift ignorance off of others
5. Acting upon what you know [aqeedah, 'ibadah, mu'aamalah]
6. To spread the knowledge in every possible occasion
7. To become a caller/preacher to the religion of Allah the Almighty [Da'wah with speech and actions]

Sa'id ibn Dawud reported that Makhlad Bin al-Husyan رَحِمَهُ الله said:

"Allah never recommends something to His servants, but that Satan interferes with it in one of two ways. He does not care which of them succeeds. Either he makes them exaggerate in it, or he makes them belittle it."

Beware of extremism in religion. Whether it is being too soft or being too hard. Beware of the Murji'a and the Khawarij. And know that Ahlul Sunnah is the Wasitiyyah. And study the Aqeedah of the extremists to stay away from it.

In every series of lectures you have some people who come there for some lectures in the beginning and then they stop coming. The number of people that attend the classes in the beginning of the series is a lot bigger than the ones in the end. Many brothers and sisters leave in the middle because they find it too hard, or they do not understand it, or they see that it takes a lot of time. Allah changes the people for the better people.

The conditions of the correct Salāh according to the Qur'ān, the Sunnah & the Salaf:

1. Islām (The deeds of a Kafir are rejected)

2. Sanity (Not intoxicated or other forms of insanity)

3. Puberty (One mist have reached puberty for Salāh to be Fardh on him)

4. Taharah (Purity of the body, clothes and the place of Salāh)

5. Correct time (The time of the prayer must have entered)

6. Cover 'Awrah (covering the private parts, men: between navel & knee; women: everything except face & hands)

7. Niyyah (Intention to perform the prayer)

8. Facing the Qiblah (One must face the current Qiblah which is Al-Masjid Al-Harām)

Some of these conditions may fall out depending on your condition. For example, someone is extremely sick and can not face the Qiblah, he is excused. If a condition is not met, even though it is possible to be done, the prayer is invalid.

How to perform ghusl according to the Qur'ān, the Sunnah & the Salaf:

There are two types of ghusl from janabah [i.e. being impure due to sexual intercourse or discharge].

Sufficient ghusl:
• You rinse your mouth and nose.
• Then you wash your entire body with water, even if that means plunging yourself into deep water in one go.

Complete ghusl:
• Washing your private parts and anywhere else that is contaminated with traces of impurity [sperm, etc].
• Then you do full wudoo’.
• Then you pour water over your head three times, making sure that it reaches the roots of the hair.
• Then you wash the right side of the body, then the left side.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَّجِيْدٌ ، اَللّٰهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَّجِيْدٌ

Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammad wa ʿalā āli Muḥammad, kamā ṣallayta ʿalā Ibrāhīma wa ʿalā āli Ibrāhīm, innaka Ḥamīdu-m-Majīd, Allāhumma bārik ʿalā Muḥammad, wa ʿalā āli Muḥammad, kamā bārakta ʿalā Ibrāhīma wa ʿalā āli Ibrāhīm, innaka Ḥamīdu-m-Majīd.

O Allah, honour and have mercy upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You have honoured and had mercy upon Ibrāhīm and the family of Ibrāhīm. Indeed, You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You have blessed Ibrāhīm and the family of Ibrāhīm. Indeed, You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious.

ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylā (raḥimahullāh) said: “Kaʿb ibn ʿUjrah (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu) met me and said: ‘Shall I not give you a gift I received from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?’ I replied: ‘Yes of course, gift it to me.’ So he said: ‘We asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: “O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, how should we invoke ṣalāh upon you, the members of the family, for Allah has taught us how to send salām upon you?” He ﷺ replied: “Say: [the above].” (Bukhārī 3370)

The conditions of the correct Wudu according to the Qur'ān, the Sunnah & the Salaf:

1. Stopping what breaks it (ie swallowing the camel meat)

2. Islam (The deeds of a Kafir are rejected)

3. Niyyah (Intention to make Wudu)

4. Puberty (One mist have reached puberty for Salāh to be Fardh on him)

5. Sanity (Not intoxicated or other forms of insanity)

6. Clean, Halal Water (One cannot make Wudu with unclean or haram water)

7. Removal of Barriers (Removing barriers between the skin and the water)

8. Having made Istinja‘ (Cleaning after relieving oneself)

Some of these conditions may fall out depending on your condition. For example, someone does not have water, he can perform Tayammum. If a condition is not met, even though it is possible to be done, the Wudu is invalid.

The obligations of Wudu:

1. Washing the face, including rinsing the mouth, and inhaling water into the nose

2. Washing the hands until the elbows including the elbows

3. Wiping the entire head, including the ears

4. Wasing the feet including the ankles

5. Keeping the order Allah ordered us to keep

6. Continuity by not delaying the washing of a part until the part before it dries

These conditions fall of with the Ghusl to lift the major impurity, whether it is the necessary or the advised Ghusl.
