Hey there...
Here it is the middle of the week (aka Wednesday) in the first half of March 2021. Now alot of people are still cooped up due to this lovely virus.
But we here at GTKYF Foundation Inc (www.gtkyf.org) see the tremendous need and the desperation in people as they try and survive these days. As a direct result we have stepped out in faith that our needs will be supplied while we reach out and help as many people as we can.
Here are just some of our active programs and ones we are involved in and what they are doing already this year to help others:

• Salt of the Earth:
This program helps people and families who are struggling and does small grants of funds to cover things like power bill arrears, vehicle repair, food, bus ticket home, train ticket home, tents, sleeping bags, and other imeadiate needs. This program fund currently sits at zero dollars. As the needs are much greater than the donations. Learn more about this program at http://justusriders.org/saltoftheearth/. To date this year we have been blessed to help families and individuals with $2234.67 in aid. Consider donating at www.donate.gtkyf.org

• Neighbors Helping Neighbors:
This program helps with low income, nonprofits, and disaster property repair projects. As well as feeding homeless, vehicle repairs, and providing first aid to underserved communities. So far this year we have;
• provided four weeks of first aid and transportation to underserved communities in rural flordia. We made sixty trips to the Emergency room, bus station, and truck stop for those needing aid during this time. (At a 30 plus minute ride each way. Costing over $1000 in fuel alone. It cost approximately $22 round trip to drive to the er from the location. Now, granted some money was raised and provided to help offset these costs. We are still short on the over all fuel costs and the cost of replenishment of our first aid supplies.)
• provided a day of volunteer property repairs and cleanup for an elderly lady in silver springs flordia.
• provide extensive five days of repairs and creating a better living situation for an elderly stroke victim in Bonifey, Flordia. Our efforts to provide him with running water, working electric, working toilet, and a working shower brought back a level of independence and dignity for him.

You can learn more about this program at http://gtkyf.org/neighbors-helping-neighbors/ . You can donate to help us in these efforts at www.donate.gtkyf.org

• Our Ambassador livestock program: This program has brought many an opportunity to help spread the message of "Farms, Food, Families, and Freedom". Even though in the last month we lost one of our main Ambassadors. Thadous D Llama passed away peacefully surrounded by love. The remaining ambassadors continue to strive to live up to his legacy.
• We plan on actions in Atlanta, Georgia and Birmingham, Alabama in the coming weeks.

If you would like to learn more about this program visit ****

To donate to support the ongoing needs of this program or to help with the $1000's in vetenarian bills for thadous please donate via www.donate.gtkyf.org.

• Just Us Riders program:
We continue to travel the country in the "tiny house" as part of the Just Us Riders program "the adventure". And with all that has happened. The canceled events, the tremendous needs, and the upheaval in our society calling it an adventure is an understatement. But alas we continue to stay the course following what we are called to do speaking out about the crisis with farms, food, families, and freedom in our world. While showing love, compassion, empathey for those struggling. Providing a voice for the voiceless.

To learn more about this program please visit www.justusriders.org

To donate an support our costs associated with this program please do so at www.donate.gtkyf.org
• Chores for a Cause program:
This program is where volunteers and road crew of Just Us Riders assist with needed projects and chores to help raise funds in support of our efforts. If you know of someone needing some task or chore completed please email me at ethan at ethanthefarmer.com. we are willing to help out along our route in order to offset the costs. And quite frankly need the work with the lack of nessesarry donations and paying events.

Hello there...
From the ever rainy world of southwest Louisiana. I'm here right now because the government of the United States and the fine state of Louisiana have abandoned the working-class people who live here. You see last year they were hit by not one but two Hurricanes and can't seem to get the needed help to rebuild and restore their lives. So, I am here doing all I can each and every day.
You can read about our efforts at www.relief.hackberryla.com.

With the ever-increasing cost of materials we need help. These people are humans too and don't deserve to be suffering like this anywhere. Yet alone in the united states.
Please share this post and consider donating or volunteering.

From the bottom of my heart I say thank you.

Call out:
As a favor to me...
Recently a volunteer from cajan navy was attacked and injuried. We are holding a rally at the old Kmart in lake Charles at 2 pm Monday July 5th. I'm asking each of you to be there and show them that they are not alone. This community stands behind them.
Any questions please call me 337-240-6292

Thought I'd take a minute to give you the skinny rundown of what's going on. As most of you know we left the "Hackberry Relief Project" physically on July 17th. We made the two-day journey to Ash Flat Arkansas. Be it barely, by the skin of our teeth. We had about $5 to our name when we finally made it here. Between my shoulder getting messed up and the issues with overheating due to thermostat issues, it was an eventful ride.

The program in Hackberry continues, be it a scaled-back and skeleton crew at this point. With the hopes for some awesome volunteers to make it there in August. I was sad to leave all of the friends and connections we had made there over the three months we spent there. We managed to help in the neighborhood of a hundred families in one way or another. That community is still not recovered from the devastation from hurricane laura and delta. Please continue to pray for them and consider donating to help those efforts continue. We are also in need of a point person to coordinate the efforts in Hackberry, as well as the ongoing need for volunteers to assist with the many people on the waiting list. Please email us if you can help or want to volunteer. You can follow the efforts in that community online at www.relief.hackberryla.com.

Due to the Cajan Navy pulling out of the neighboring communities of Lake Charles and Sulfur we are considering adding a component that is directly related to these communities as they have tremendous needs, and lack even the basic infrastructure to address the issues moving forward. If you are interested in helping with this please contact us.

Now that we are in Ash Flat, Arkansas the needs here are no less. It seems our calling is to the parts of America that have been and are being forgotten about. The true salt of the earth people who it seems the government and the rest of the country are simply forgetting. Well, guess what? We haven't forgotten them and are striving to find some type of paying projects to help us underwrite the crazy costs of materials in this interesting time. And to help keep us afloat while we show these people they are NOT forgotten. While we show love compassion and empathy to the backwoods of north-central Arkansas. If you want to volunteer or donate please get ahold of us. As this would be greatly appreciated.

And lastly. I have been battling open sores on my legs for some time now. As well as a shoulder that causes pain that is frankly off the charts a lot of the time. both of which I press on and get done the physical things that need to be done. That doesn't mean it's fun. It simply means I make use of the Irish streak in me and the stubbornness that comes with it. But that also means that I don't have the physical strength to do what I normally would to raise the funds to keep us all going.

As of right now we stand about $1000 short of making ends meet through August 1st. If you would consider donating that would be awesome. www.donate.gtkyf.org

Thank you for your continued support as We work to change the path of this country and our society as a whole. One family, one community, one project, one life, at a time. Boots on the ground meeting their physical needs.

Here we are at thanks giving week. It's been a massive busy time in our world. As we think about all we have to be thankful for. We are grateful for all of you who have supported our efforts and made it so we could do the work we do. With out each of you and your continued support we would not be able to help the many people we help each and everyday.
We here at Just Us Riders ( a program of GTKYF Foundation inc) do not have the massive payroll that many of our fellow nonprofits support. Our leadership and staff are here because of where their heart is. Not because they are earning millions leading this organization (like the American red cross or the United way).

Our founder Ethan The Farmer has said many times over the years that when he dies he wants the check to the undertaker to bounce. He want to have given it all away to help those in need.

As our society continues to fail the majority of the working class, and those socioeconomicly challenged the need for our programs and skill sets becomes ever more necessary. The needs continually outpace the resources... but we continue to grow and add to what we offer as we are able.

This Tuesday is "Giving Tuesday", so we ask that each of you consider supporting us and the many that rely on us for a lifeline in their time of need. We would also encourage you this holiday season to help someone in your immediate community. It doesn't have to be money. In fact sometimes using your time to help others is of more value than sending them money. The experiences you gain by helping others are priceless.

We wish each of you a good Thanksgiving week building those priceless memories with those you are close to. From all of us at GTKYF Foundation Inc and it's many programs. Happy Thanksgiving.

Please consider donating, or volunteering today. Www.donate.gtkyf.org
