An Himachal Parivahan bus hurtling over Chicham Bridge on its way to the village of Chicham in the evening. We were tailing this bus for quite a while, and it had two passengers, a conductor, and a driver only. The places where these public buses can take you in Spiti are unbelievable and beyond comprehension sometimes. Running almost throughout the year, truly connecting the lives of the people in these high mountains.

Located at an altitude of around 13,500 feet above sea level, Chicham Bridge is the highest suspension bridge in Asia. It overlooks a gorge with the Samba Lamba Nallah, about 1000 feet below.
#NaturalArch, #TirumalaHills, a notified #NationalGeoHeritageMonument, is a distinctive geological feature 1 km (0.6 mi) north of the #Tirumala hills temple, near the #ChakraTeertham in the state of #AndhraPradesh, India. The arch is also called #Silathoranam (#శిలాతోరణం) in the local language. The arch measures 8m (26.2 ft) in width and 3m (9.8 ft) in height, and is naturally formed in the quartzites of Cuddapah Supergroup of Middle to Upper Proterozoic (1600 to 570 Ma) due to natural erosive forces.

Badavilinga Temple is a wonderful temple in Hampi dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Hindu deity Shiva is worshipped in the form of a Linga in this temple. The Badavilinga Temple is located near the Lakshmi Narasimha Temple. Tourists as well as devotees flock to the temple throughout the year.
The Badavilinga Temple in Hampi has the largest monolithic Shiva Linga in Hampi. The Shiva Linga has a three eye mark drawn on it in line carving. The three eye mark depicts the three eyes of Lord Shiva.
The beautiful Linga is made of black stone. It has a height of 3 meters. It is believed that the temple has been in existence since the period of the Vijayanagara Empire. Devotees come here from far and near to worship the Shiva Linga.
Amarnath cave is a Hindu shrine located in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The cave is situated at an altitude of 3,888 m (12,756 ft), about 141 km (88 mi) from Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir and reached through Pahalgam town.
Konark Sun Temple is a 13th century CE SunTemple at Konark in Orissa. It is believed that the temple was built by king Narasimhadeva of Eastern Ganga Dynasty in 1255CE.

According to Bhavishya Purana and Samba Purana there may have been a Sun Temple in the region earlier than current one dating to the 9th century or earlier. The books mention three sun temples at Mundira (possibly Konark), Kalapriya (Mathura), and Multan.

Mount Kinner Kailash has religious significance .a huge "SHIVA LINGAM"- the representation of Lord Shiva which is a 79 feet vertical rock formation that resembles a Shiva lingam and changes color as the day passes.
