🇪🇺 Targeting art as weapons of war is not only unacceptable but also unlawful.
Walking through the cobblestone streets of Lviv, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Western Ukraine, felt like visiting an open-air museum. Today, the city looks more like a modern art installation.
⛲The famous fountains of Rynok Square are wrapped in bubble wrap and duct tape.
🏛️ Museums and churches are empty – the paintings, sculptures and sacred objects have been moved to safe shelters.
Until recently, Lviv was a safe destination for people from all over Europe and Ukraine. Nevertheless, it has not been spared from rocket attacks from Belarus.
Ukrainians rushed to protect important cultural assets in Lviv and throughout Ukraine, often with the support of international institutions.
The international campaign #ARTvsWAR aims to protect cultural heritage in Ukraine.

Прогулюючись вимощеними бруківкою вуличками Львова, міста-об'єкта Всесвітньої спадщини ЮНЕСКО в Західній Україні, раніше було схоже на відвідування музею під відкритим небом. Сьогодні місто більше схоже на сучасну художню інсталяцію.

🇺🇦 Лисичанська гімназія – одна з багатьох споруд бельгійської спадщини в Україні. Це була одна з кращих шкіл Луганщини. 1 травня будівлю було повністю зруйновано російськими обстрілами.
