🇺🇦 Нові заходи для термінового посилення потужностей оборонної промисловості ЄС у виробництві боєприпасів

Сьогодні Європейська Комісія ухвалила Акт на підтримку виробництва боєприпасів з метою невідкладного постачання боєприпасів і ракет в Україну і допомоги країнам-членам ЄС у поповненні їхніх запасів.

Шляхом запровадження цільових заходів, включаючи фінансування, цей Акт спрямований на нарощування виробничих потужностей ЄС та подолання поточного дефіциту боєприпасів і ракет, а також їхніх компонентів.

Зокрема, він посилить реагування і здатність оборонної промисловості ЄС забезпечувати своєчасне постачання боєприпасів і ракет в Європу.

«Європа посилює свою підтримку за трьома напрямками. По-перше, держави-члени надають додаткові боєприпаси зі своїх наявних запасів за допомогою нового фінансування Європейського фонду миру в розмірі 1 мільярда євро. По-друге, разом з державами-членами ми спільно закуповуватимемо більше боєприпасів для України - і для цього ми виділяємо додатковий мільярд євро. І сьогодні ми реалізуємо третій напрямок. 🇪🇺 New measures to urgently boost EU defence industry capacities in ammunition production

Today, the Commission has adopted the Act in Support of Ammunition Production (ASAP) to urgently deliver ammunition and missiles to Ukraine and to help Member States refill their stocks.

By introducing targeted measures including financing, the Act aims at ramping up the EU's production capacity and addressing the current shortage of ammunition and missiles as well as their components.

In particular, it will strenghten the responsiveness and ability of the Union defence industry to ensure the timely supply of ammunition and missiles in Europe.

💬 President von der Leyen:

"Europe is stepping up its support on three tracks. First, Member States are delivering additional ammunition from their existing stocks, with new European Peace Facility support of 1 billion euros. Second, together with Member States, we will procure jointly more ammunition for Ukraine - and we are making available an additional billion euro for that. And today, we are delivering on the third track. Ramping up and speeding up the defence industrial production of ammunition in Europe."

Ми робимо наступне:

🇪🇺 The European Commission is proposing an 11th package of sanctions.

The focus is now on cracking down on circumvention, together with our international partners.

We are:

1 - Sharpening our existing tools, adding more products to our transit ban.

2 - Proposing a new tool to combat sanctions circumvention.

3 - Proposing to ban “shadow” entities from Russia and third countries that are intentionally circumventing our sanctions.

🇺🇦 Happy Vyshyvanka Day! З Днем вишиванки! 🇪🇺

This day takes its name from the traditional cloth embroidered with ethnic patterns known as “Vyshyvanka”. And, of course, people usually wear it on this occasion!

What started 17 years ago with a few students dressing up in embroidered outfit is today a tradition followed by Ukrainian people and their friends worldwide.

Celebrated every third Thursday of May, this Ukrainian holiday is a symbol of unity and national identity.

In these difficult times, it is even more important to keep Ukraine’s culture and traditions vibrant.

🇺🇦 Сьогодні Єврокомісія переказала Україні 4-й платіж обсягом €1,5 млрд в межах пакету макрофінансової допомоги MFA+.

Цей транш допоможе Україні продовжувати виплачувати зарплати та пенсії, а також підтримувати роботу основних державних служб, лікарень, шкіл та житла для переселенців. Це також дозволить Україні забезпечити макроекономічну стабільність та відновити критично важливу інфраструктуру, зруйновану Росією.

Таким чином, загальна кількість макрофіну, який ЄС виплатив України з початку року становить 7,5 млрд євро.

🇪🇺 The Commission has today made a fourth payment of €1.5 billion under the Macro-financial Assistance (MFA)+ package for Ukraine

This disbursement will help Ukraine keep paying wages and pensions, and maintain essential public services, such as hospitals, schools, and housing for relocated people. It will also allow Ukraine to ensure macroeconomic stability and restore critical infrastructure destroyed by Russia.

This payment brings the total amount of EU's macrofinancial assistance to Ukraine to €7.5 billion since the beginning of the year.

🇺🇦 Поновлення тимчасової лібералізації торгівлі та інших торговельних поступок для України

Ми вітаємо ухвалення Радою ЄС постанови, яка поновлює призупинення всіх митних зборів, квот та заходів торговельного захисту щодо українського експорту до ЄС ще на один рік, до червня 2024 року, як це було запропоновано Європейською Комісією. Постанова набуде чинності 6 червня.

Ці заходи допоможуть Україні зберегти стабільність торговельних відносин з ЄС та підтримати економіку в умовах брутальної військової агресії з боку Росії.

🇪🇺 Renewal of temporary trade liberalisation and other trade concessions for Ukraine

We welcome the adoption by the Council of a Regulation which renews the suspension of all customs duties, quotas and trade defence measures on Ukrainian exports to the EU for another year, until June 2024, as proposed by the European Commission. The Regulation will enter into force on June 6.

The measures will help Ukraine maintain the stability of its trade relations with the EU and keep its economy going in the face of Russia's brutal military aggression.
