Have you ever seen a local driver's assistant (trotro mate) getting on board a moving car?
It always looks so swift and easy.
However, if you've tried getting down from a car in motion before, you'll know that making the transition is a risky act.
It is dangerous but not to the mates because they have mastered the craft with a trick.
From what I've noticed, they observe the speed of the car and get themselves ready by sprinting with a similar speed.
When by their calculation, they have gained enough momentum to make the climb, they switch onto the vehicle and that's it.
๐ฎ The Lesson
When you want to transition from one form of existence to another, you require some conversance in the new way of life first. Otherwise, it becomes a risky act that might hurt you badly.
That's why you don't have to quit a job to start a business you have no experience in. You start the business or gain enough experience (momentum) and when by adequate estimation, you can safely make the switch, then you move.
That's also why you shouldn't marry someone without having hard conversations with them regarding the journey ahead. You should jump onto that next level only after you have assessed it well and realize you have enough momentum to make the climb with them.
Life is a journey. We are required to negotiate curves and travel new paths every now and then.
But we must gain enough momentum before making switches or we end up risking too much.

I once worked in a shea nut processing company where we received most of our raw materials from distances nearing 1,000km away.
Each truck, depending on the size, loaded several dozens of the heavy shea nut sacks.
What always baffled me was that the entire load was usually kept in position by ropes wrapped around tarpaulin.
Not every shea nut sack gets a direct contact with the anchorage. It is only the ones lying on the surface that do.
And yet, these trucks are able to travel speedily over a zillion kilometers and our raw materials are still kept in position and great condition.
๐ฎ THE LESSON
Just as not all the shea nut bags are belted, but they travel several hours without any qualms, not everyone in our country will live responsibly for the system to work well.
There will always be bad nuts.
Just as some shea nut sacks are out of touch with the ropes, there will always be people who will find their ways around our laws, regulations, civic and spiritual responsibilities.
However, if those of us who believe in success without corruption, love for mankind, selflessness and the greater good, will stand our grounds firmly, it won't be long before everyone else would be held in position.
So don't look over to your coworkers or mates making foul gains and decide to settle in. It is not about them; it is about you. You need to be the difference. You have to keep the faith. It is you we are counting on.
When we get enough people like you and me, the oddities will have no option than to toe the right line.

Scripture says that as a man thinketh, so is he.
Based on this foundation, I came up with this discovery titled, " _the surest way to heal from COVID-19 and all other diseases_ ".
In the video, I shared real-life examples of people who contracted COVID-19 that show that this principle can be the difference between recovering from the pandemic or succumbing to it.
I am certain this video with bless you. It's a lot of value gained in just 10 minutes.

Brightly-colored, nicely-designed and bedazzling. That's the perfect description anyone would give to a shoe I bought when I was a freshman at KNUST
In fact, the moment I set my eyes on the pair at the market, I felt like a long-sought dream of mine had come true.
Soon enough, however, my dream-come-true became a living nightmare.
What I didn't realize from the beginning was that the anterior portion of my shoe was as hard as cast iron.
Anytime I put them on, I would go through the entire day feeling like my toes were badly wounded.
The pain was excruciating. Yet, I always forced a smile on my face when I had them on.
My friends and colleagues stared at my feet with admiration but I was the only one who knew the pain I had to endure to sustain their adoration.
THE LESSON
I never understood what the phrase "be in someone's shoes" actually meant until I had this experience.
Often, we stare at the beautiful outlook of people's lives and feel their grass is greener than ours.
We look at them with admiration and even envy or jealousy sometimes.
But the truth is, we are not in their shoes. We only see the outside of the shoe and don't truly understand what they're going through.
On social media especially, almost everyone wants to show a part of their lives that will win them praise and worship.
And very regularly, that show-off is undergirded by hidden pains and unpleasant experiences, and this is not being exaggerated.
What you see is often different from what the reality is.
There's nothing wrong with drawing inspiration from the achievements of others.
That notwithstanding, if you ever see a glamorous lifestyle and self-pity starts knocking on your door, remember my experience and think again.

The other day, I shared a story about how a beautiful shoe I bought turned out to be a living nightmare.
Everyone admired its outside beauty but my toes hurt badly like I was wounded anytime I had them on.
On one occasion, I was walking in close proximity with some of my friends when a gentleman mistakenly stepped on my foot. The hurt multiplied.
I jolted instantly and groaned out of the excruciating pain. I had to stand aside for a while before gaining my balance again.
On the outside, how the young man's foot impacted mine appeared insignificant. It's something that happened every now and then.
And you didn't need to make a fuss about it if you were the victim.
Everyone looked at my expression of pain and I could see the disappointment on their face. "Why are you acting this out like a big deal?" they thought.
To them, I was overly exaggerating. But I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO KNEW the pain I was in.
THE LESSON
Sometimes, we look at other people's circumstances and underrate the sufferings they are going through.
We see their deprivations and conclude that they are lazy or unwise.
We see poor people and assume that somehow it's their fault or they don't strive hard enough.
We hear people express how painful an experience has been for them and conclude they are being too sentimental or simply verbose.
But the truth is, we are not in their shoes. We cannot truly understand how they feel. Instead of downplaying their emotions, we should rather respect their feelings and empathize with them.
Things are not always the way they look.

In all my years in basic school, I was a hardworking student. There was hardly any new class that had the exact same students as the previous.
However, in each one, I was one of the top performers. What was interesting to me was that I never actually put in a lot of work.
If I didn't have a homework to do, chances are I would not study at home. I watched TV all the time and slept a lot too. But I was doing great, so everyone was happy.
I remember time and again when my teachers would come to class and be impressed with my vibrant participation and attentiveness. This was not the story for some of my classmates. You'd normally find them sleeping, talking or simply uninterested in the class affairs.
They were often lashed for their behavior and sometimes punished to perform tedious physical activities outside the classroom.
For so many years, it blew my mind how on this earth a student could go to class and fall asleep. "They must indeed be extremely lazy," or so I thought.
But this was until I went to senior high school. This time, the playground was different because I was in the boarding house just like most of my other classmates.
For the first time in my entire life, there were times I felt sleepy during class hours. I was shocked. But I knew I wasn't trying to be lazy. I was even more hardworking than I was in basic school. Only that I had to get up earlier, perform strenuous chores and sleep late at times.
I then realized that back in basic school, it wasn't that my mates were lazy. Instead, living in a farming community, many of them had to accompany their parents to the farm as early as 2am or 3am everyday before school.
They were bound to get tired. It affected their participation in class and translated into lower grades.
I came to understand that I wasn't necessarily smarter. If any of them stayed in my home, they would have had the chance to do better.
If they deserved anything for sleeping in class, it wasn't to be caned or punished but allowed to rest awhile and then encouraged or motivated to catch up.
I regretted judging them wrongly.
The Lesson
When you are privileged, don't think others are lazy.

Quiz competitons are thrilling. I've always loved them since childhood. I remember one that was held at my local church back in the day. What occurred that day will always live with me.
The final round of the contest was for current affairs. A contestant was quizzed: "How many children has the Aflao Area Head?"
It didn't look like the gentleman knew the answer. However, there were no fixed number of chances allowed to be taken at any question. You could mention any amount of possible answers until you got belled out.
Therefore, as expected, the contestant decided to start from beginning and climb up.
He mentioned "1", it was wrong. He called out "2", it was incorrect. He answered "3", and was asked to try again.
He paused for a moment, and concluded in his mind that perhaps the Area Head has a lot of children. So he continued counting from 5 and it was all wrong. When he reached 12, his time was up.
The question was up to another contestant for a bonus and he mentioned "4", which was the right answer.
We were all amazed and thrilled. But that incident has a crucial takeaway.
The Lesson
Life works on principles. And those who follow them to the letter are the ones who get the desired results.
Often, we decide to start new businesses, pursue new dreams, learn new skills, grow and achieve a lot.
But soon enough, when we plunge our heads into the task, we often start applying our self-fabricated modules to the finish line. Instead of following due process, we slack and then end up frustrated.
"Why did it work for so many people but isn't working for me," we wonder.
Some people take it to extreme to think that they are cursed or are simply unlucky.
But the truth is, life works based on principles. These principles are keys that open doors. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO IS HOLDING THE KEY. The door will surely open.
Follow due process and the results will amaze you.

Archimedes, AKA Tokpa. We were mates from high school. Wherever you are, this is a heartfelt apology from me.
In first year, I was in the same hostel with Archimedes. We both were science students except that he was in a different stream.
I remember a day when I had a heated argument with this learned young man. He said in passing that whales are mammals and I immediately decided to take him on.
Mammals, as we know them, have hair or fur; are warm-blooded; are mostly born alive and the young are fed with milk produced by the mother's mammary glands.
That night, I argued my heart out that a whale could never be a mammal. I was so vehement that Archimedes backed down.
"Why would anyone be so dumb to think a fish is a mammal?" I wondered.
One year later, I learned in Biology that whales aren't fishes. Rather, they are mammals. They breathe air through a pair of lungs, are warm-blooded, their young drink milk, and they have hair!
It hit me that I was the one being stupid that eventful night. And I felt so sorry for how I treated Archimedes.
The Lesson
We live in a world full of mysteries. And constantly, we must be ready to be surprised. Never get to the point where you feel nothing can change what you know about life, spirituality, wealth creation, love and marriage, or any subject, even yourself.
There is always more to know. I have learned this learned the hard way through the experience above and some others.
Today, even if a madman is speaking, I listen attentively and ask questions to fully understand what they mean.
Sometimes, the breakthroughs you need lie on the other side of what you already know. It pays to be a perpetual learner.

๐ฎ What Life Just Taught Me ๐ฎ
A post by Ebenezer Agbey Quist
When I was a little kid, my big sister and I went out one day. We stayed and played for so long that we knew we had crossed the red line.
But I wasn't disturbed or worried much. I was simply living life with great excitement.
My sister who grew silent by the minute looked straight at me and said, " You know why you're so excited? It's because I'm the only one who will get spanked when we get home ".
Her statement surprised me but I was in denial of it. True to her words, however, upon getting home, she was the only one who received the punishment for what we both did.
She wasn't only accused of staying out too long, but also for taking her little brother along.
Although I got the logic behind arrangement and was grateful the rod was spared in my case, I never really learned the lesson in this until much later in life.
The Lesson
Whenever you are in a place of authority, you will be held accountable for whatever happens, particularly if it is negative.
The sad part is that, what went wrong may not have been be your idea. It could have been that your subordinates begged you to make a decision that would favour them, and out of genuine compassion, you agreed.
However, if things go south, nobody will care about any explanation. They want you punished and that is it.
In reality, this is a system both you and I created. For instance, when our football team performs poorly, we launch attacks on the coach until he's taken off. We don't care about how they feel or whether it was truly their fault.
Indeed, leaders are supposed to be accountable for whatever happens under their watch.
But when you assume the position of an authority, influencer or leader, be prepared to dance to the tune.
I wish I could tell you enough.
