Rev. Maldwyn Jones is Elim's Historian and a long-term advocate of Elim International Missions. He said,

"Elim International Missions has, since 1923, been a vital part of Elim's outreach. In 1944, the Annual Conference took the momentous decision too set up its own Missionary Board. This was a huge step of faith and Elim people responded in a huge way. It is good that Elim churches support other missions outside of Elim, but I implore every Elim church to financially support Elim International Missions."

Liz's Story 💬

I have been involved in mission trips to Romania since 2001 when three of us made our first trip to Sardu near Cluj Napoca in the north of Romania.

Now, the Corabia Foundation has been established and groups from all over Britain and, more recently, America visit on a regular basis to support the work with children, young people, and within the Roma community.

I am from Bradford, West Yorkshire, and have attended the Elim Church there for the last 30 years, where I have always been involved in children's and youth work. I trained as a nursery practitioner and later as an early years and primary school teacher. I have most recently gained qualifications in leading children and family centres. I am keen to use the qualifications and experience I have gained to serve God here in Sardu and the surrounding area.

Ian & Katie's Story 💬

We are a family of four – Ian and Katie, along with our children Kristen and Josiah. Originally from Warrington, we have been based in Skopje, Macedonia since February

Our priority is to raise up disciples who make disciples. A key scripture for our work is Romans 1:16: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”

We believe that Christ desires to transform every area of life. When people come to Him, they begin a journey of lifelong daily discipleship, being shaped into all He has created them to be.

We are passionate about building a Christian community in our local area with a sense of 'doing life' together and supporting each other to share the gospel. We focus on being a ‘family on mission,’ living together for Jesus day by day.
