REFLECTION SATURDAY
Many times, we say TGIF and are so happy and can't wait for the weekend, well, that's not a bad thing at all.
But we go on week to weekend and continue the cycle without even taking time to evaluate our progress per week.
*So this weekend, find time to* evaluate your brand building efforts.
Have you taken out lessons shared here and implemented in your brand building process?
Have they been helpful?
Are you closer to becoming the brand that you desire?
Every effort counts, how much effort have you put in to ensure that you do business better than before?
This Saturday is for reflection.
PS: We advice that you should do a business evaluation every Friday with your team so that you will know how well your business faired each week and have new ideas on how to do better the following week.

The end goal of structuring is getting your business to work for you through systems and processes.
You cannot desire to build a legacy business and refuse to deepen your roots in the soil of structure.
It won't work.
Building a structured business doesn't happen overnight but then you need sound knowledge to ensure you are doing it right.
From 21st to 23rd November 2022, we will be hosting the last cohort of STRUCTURE YOUR BUSINESS RIGHT course for this year.
You can register here: https://mba.mapemond.com/product/structure-your-business-right/

Your business does not have to be big for you to have structure, start from where you are with available resources, that is what will set you on track to becoming bigger.
If having formal contracts seem too farfetched for you, then capture the terms of business dealings via emails, SMS, etc to the client.
We advise you to create contract templates suitable for your own business, there are SME lawyers that can do it for you at pocket-friendly prices. Just get more serious with your business.
If you are not ready to have a functional board of directors, get some experienced and willing persons to volunteer as advisors - they serve as advisory board. That way you have people who keep you accountable and help you see beyond your sentiments and biases. And to show your own commitment, create some sort of benefit for them. It can be as little as a quarterly recharge voucher. Just get serious with your business.
Build a team, no matter how small. If you cannot afford to hire, engage interns but you must show good leadership abilities to attract and empower them with experiential knowledge. There are lots of idle young people seeking to volunteer at places where they can learn valuable skills. Engaging interns means you will need to have a structure in place - their tasks, work schedules, reporting lines, etc. Get serious with your business.
Many people fail at meeting their tax obligations because they are already enveloped by the struggle for survival, but if you are not thinking right about the business, you will keep finding excuses not to meet your tax obligations when the business is generating revenue.
There are SME tax consultants that could guide you and also give you flexible rates.
Register your business as soon as possible, always issue receipts for transactions, keep records of sales, expenses, etc. And create official emails for communications. If you don't have a website domain yet, use your company name @gmail.com
The more you think of your business as a company, the better organized you will become. Don't get stuck with hustle and self-employment. You can build that business into a company. The challenges of being an entrepreneur are already enormous, don't add the limitation of your thinking to it.
You can do it. It will take you time - years, actually, but with focus and consistency, you will get there.
It's already day 2 of the STRUCTURE YOUR BUSINESS RIGHT class, however, you can still get an online version:

"We don't do commercials because our target audience isn't sitting around watching tv"
- Lamborghini.
Your target audience/ market are people who your service/product is created for, who need them, and who are willing to pay for them.
The terms target audience and target market are the same, their difference only exists in their application.
It is called market when you are speaking in terms of your marketing and sales strategies.
While it is called audience when you are speaking in terms of your marketing communications.
Let's say, a baby diaper brand wants to create marketing campaigns, who do you think their target audience should be?
University student?
Teenagers?
Nursing parents?
Some business owners make the mistake of thinking everybody is their customer.
It's not true, because even if you sell long life, there are people who won't buy.
So it's best to define who your target audience/ market are.
Age, occupation, income level, location, social class, gender, marital status, etc are some factors you can use to define your target market.
For example, your target market/audience can be single females, business owners, aged 30 to 60years, who earn between N500k to N1million.
Defining your target market and audience will help shape your marketing campaigns and will ensure a good response rate.
If you have been marketing to everybody, this is a good time to define who your target audience are.
If you have identified them, you can share with us in the discussion group
