China became the largest importer of fossil fuels from Russia during the first 100 days of the war in Ukraine (from February 24 to June 3). The Center for Energy and Clean Air Research (CREA) cites such data.

Amid a slew of sanctions imposed by the West, Russia received more than €93 billion from fossil fuel exports during the period, 61% of which, or €57 billion, came from the European Union alone.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was admitted to hospital for a minor routine operation on his sinuses, Number 10 Downing Street informed in a statement on June 20. In a firm stand against terrorism, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval stressed that India aims for normal relations with Pakistan but won't tolerate the security challenges posed at the borders. Ajit Doval on Tuesday, June 21, spoke to ANI's Smita Prakash on border security issues. 

"We have good relations with our neighbours including Pakistan. We would like normal relations with Pakistan but the threshold for challenges to security can't be much. Jammu and Kashmir has been seeing proxy war. We will not beg for peace", NSA Ajit Doval told ANI.

On Tuesday, three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel attained Veergati in a Maoist attack in Odisha's Nuapada district. The CRPF officials informed that the incident took place in Patadhara Reserve Forest in Bheden block at 2.30 p.m. in the afternoon when they were involved in a road inauguration.
