Three terrorists sent by Pak based handlers to target Amarnath Yatra killed by security forces in J&K.

The security forces have neutralized three terrorists who were supposedly sent by Pakistan-based handlers to attack the Amarnath Yatra. The three terrorists belonged to the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar e Taiba (LeT). As per the documents and other incriminating materials, one of the killed terrorists has been identified as Abdullah Goujri, a resident of Faisalabad, Pakistan, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar said.
"Two terrorists of proscribed terror outfit LeT neutralized by Srinagar Police in an encounter in Bemina area of Srinagar... Pakistan-based handlers had sent two Pakistani terrorists of the LeT terror outfit along with one local terrorist Adil Hussain Mir of Pahalgam Anantnag, who has been in Pakistan since 2018. Now all 3 killed (who were sent) with the intention to attack Yatra," he further added.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today said the appointment of the new Chief of Defence Staff or CDS will be made soon and that the process for it is underway. The post of Chief of Defence Staff has been lying vacant since General Bipin Rawat's death in a helicopter crash on December 8 last year.

SAAB to co-develop future IDAS Variants with HAL.

Ritu Raj Tyagi, Marketing Director, Aeronautics, Saab India said that Saab is in the final stages of carrying out a full Transfer of Technology for its Integrated Defence Aids Suite (IDAS) to India's state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and also has confirmed that the future version of IDAS-3 will jointly be developed with HAL in India.
Saab's Integrated Defence Aids Suite (IDAS) system was first integrated with the Indian Army and Air Force's version of ALH (Dhruv) in the year 2005 and more than 200 Dhruv Helicopters including ALG-Rudra WSI an Armed variant in service with the Indian Air Force and the Indian Army helicopters have been equipped with the IDAS system and in future will also be equipped on the HAL developed Light Combat Helicopter (LCH).

India inks vision document with Vietnam, to give $500mn defence Line of Credit.

Planning to broadbase the "scope and scale" of its defence ties with Vietnam by 2030, India has inked a vision document with the Southeast Asian country. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held bilateral talks with Vietnam's Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang in Hanoi.

Wide-ranging discussions on effective and practical initiatives to further expand bilateral defence engagements and regional and global issues were held between the two sides. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Mutual Logistics Support was also inked. In these times of increasing cooperative engagements between the defence forces of the two countries, this is a major step towards simplifying procedures for mutually beneficial logistic support and is the first such major agreement which Vietnam has signed with any country.
2 LeT terrorists killed in encounter in J&K's Shopian.

Two terrorists linked with proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were killed in an overnight encounter that broke out in the Kanjiular area of J&K's Shopian on Wednesday.
"Identification is being ascertained," police said. One of the killed terrorists has been identified as Jan Mohd Lone. Besides other terror crimes, he was involved in the recent killing of Vijay Kumar, a bank manager, on June 2 in Kulgam district,
Meanwhile, China is preparing for a special operation against Taiwan.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has signed a corresponding order. This refers to non-war military operations to ensure national sovereignty.

Among the stated objectives of the document: "support for national sovereignty, regional stability, and regulation of the organization of peaceful military operations".

Analysts fear that the decree may be a preparation for a special operation against Taiwan. But so far, there is no talk of that.
