A hand grenade was found in Delhiโs Yamuna Khadar area late on Saturday, causing a scare among the residents. The incident was immediately reported to the police and a team arrived at the spot for investigation. Shortly after, a team of the National Security Guard was called to defuse the grenade.

India's domestically developed Hindustan Turbo Trainer 40 (HTT-40) aircraft recently received its airworthiness clearance certificate from the Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification (CEMILAC) which is often seen as the last step before manufacturing of any aircraft commences in the country.
CEMILAC Certification for the HAL HTT-40 basic turboprop trainer paves the way for the aircraft's eventual induction into the Indian Air Force. Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd officials have confirmed that the company can manufacture 24 aircraft per year across two manufacturing facilities at Bangalore and Nashik if required by the Air force for which the company has responded with its offer that is currently under examination at the Airforce HQ.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has given clearance to the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to develop autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVS) that can be used for surveillance and strike capabilities to be deployed in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR). for the timbering Indian Navy is likely to opt for foreign-origin AUVs till the Indigenous ones are ready for induction.
State-owned Mazagaon Dockyard Limited (MDL) recently issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) to global firms for collaboration in the Design, Development, and Construction of a 40-ton Extra Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (XLUUVS) that could be used for mine countermeasures, anti-submarine warfare, anti surface warfare, electronic warfare, and strike missions.

PM Modi visit to UAE by month-end in the work
A visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) later this month is in the works. If it materialises, it will help reaffirm India's ties with the Gulf, particularly the UAE, amid strong reactions from the region to negative remarks by then BJP spokespersons about the Prophet.
The visit could be part of Modi's trip to Germany where he will take part in the G7 summit, people aware of the plans told ET. The G7 summit is scheduled between June 26 to 28 at Schloss Elmau in the Bavarian Alps.

Nagaland Police Charge sheets 30 Soldiers of 21 Para Special Force
Nagaland Police has charge-sheeted at least 30 members of the 21 Para Special Force including a Major, in the December 4, 2021 botched army operations in Oting-Tiru area of Mon district when at least 13 civilians died. The chargesheet has slapped charges of murder and culpable homicide not amounting to murder under on the team of soldiers.
The probe which preceded the charge sheet has found that the Special Force Operation team had not followed the Standard Operating Procedure and Rules of Engagement and had resorted to indiscriminate and disproportionate firing leading to immediate death of six civilians and grievous injury to two more.
