Israeli strike continues in Beit Hanoun and the northern areas of the Gaza Strip.
China has unveiled the JY-27V, a next-gen anti-stealth radar designed to detect low-RCS aircraft like the F-22 and F-35.
It reportedly operates in the VHF band, which is less affected by stealth shaping, and features AESAR (Active Electronically Scanned Array Radar) capability. The system is mobile and capable of long-range tracking of aerial threats, marking a direct challenge to US air dominance in East Asia. Its rollout reflects Beijing’s growing focus on counter-stealth and anti-access/area denial (A2/AD) capabilities.

"You belong to a country, to a civilisation which has been beleaguered, bled, dishonoured for thousand years.

Our ancestors have suffered a lot. I do not know how much of the humiliation, deprivations, hardships they have undergone to keep the civilisation alive, to keep this notion of the nation alive.

Our nation is different from the State. India, as a Nation, had existed for millennia; it may be a new State.

We will be completing 100 years of our independence, 22 years from now. You will be at the prime of your careers.”

Official Report on AI171 Crash (VT-ANB)
Date: 12 June 2025 | Place: Ahmedabad | Flight: Air India AI171 to London

Main points from the preliminary investigation report:

1. The plane crashed just 32 seconds after takeoff, killing 241 onboard and 19 on the ground.

2. Both engines stopped working right after takeoff because the fuel switches changed from RUN to CUTOFF.

3. In the cockpit audio, one pilot asked β€œWhy did you cut off?”, the other replied β€œI didn’t.”

4. Emergency power system (RAT) got deployed, confirming a full power loss.

5. Pilots tried restarting the engines, one showed partial recovery, the other did not.

6. Fuel samples were tested, no problem or contamination found.

7. Flight controls showed engines were set to full takeoff power, but thrust levers were later found at idle.

8. Flaps and landing gear were in correct position for takeoff.

9. No weather issues, clear skies, and no bird activity reported.

10. Both pilots were fully trained, medically fit, and had proper rest.

11. In 2018, US authorities had flagged a possible issue with the fuel switch design, but Air India had not inspected it, since it was only an advisory.

12. Aircraft weight and cargo were within safe limits. No dangerous goods onboard.

The final cause is still under investigation. This is an early report based on initial evidence.
