Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh today led the Indian delegation at the 8th India-Sri Lanka Annual Defence Dialogue in Colombo. Secretary, Defence AVM Sampath Thuyacontha (R) headed the Sri Lankan side. Wide-ranging talks were held on military cooperation, training & capacity building, defence industrial collaboration & regional security in the Indian Ocean Region.
Defence Secretary also called on Deputy Minister of Defence Maj Gen Aruna Jayasekera (R). They held discussions aimed at deepening bilateral defence cooperation and exploring new avenues to intensify the partnership.

India has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) for a large-scale Indian Air Force (IAF) exercise scheduled for June 7β8 along the southern section of the Indo-Pakistan border.
Exercise will begin at 3:30 pm on June 7 and conclude at 9:30 p.m. on June 8. During this period, airspace over the designated zone will be restricted to facilitate a range of aerial operations.
