The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extension in service of DRDO chief Dr. Samir V. Kamat for a further period of one year from 01.06.2025 till 31.05.2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh today reviewed the performance of eight DPSUs - HAL, MDL, BEL, BDL, BEML, MIDHANI, GRSE & GSL - in New Delhi. He commended the role of the entire defence industry, including DPSUs, for developing products that demonstrated India’s defence preparedness during Operation Sindoor.

RM directed the DPSUs to enhance their production on latest technologies with more focus on R&D in emerging fields of modern warfare.

The DPSUs presented the cheques for interim dividend on equity shares held by the Government for Rs 2,138 crore for the Financial Year 2024-25.

Aatmanirbhar Bharat | Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh has approved Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) Programme Execution Model. The Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) is set to execute the programme through Industry partnership.

The Execution Model approach provides equal opportunities to both private and public sectors on competitive basis. They can bid either independently or as joint venture or as consortia. The entity/bidder should be an Indian company compliant with the laws and regulations of the country.

The ADA will shortly issue an Expression of Interest for the AMCA Development Phase.
