Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh today released a book _'Ready, Relevant and Resurgent : A Blueprint for the Transformation of India’s Military'_ authored by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan. The book offers deep insights into the ongoing transformation of the Armed Forces - driven by jointness, integration & self-reliance - to meet the demands of 21st century warfare and secure national interests.

Through a series of articles, the book articulates a clear vision for building a future ready force committed to the national goal of a Sashakt, Surakshit, Samriddh and Viksit Bharat by 2047.
President Smt Droupadi Murmu today conferred six Kirti Chakras, including four posthumous, and 33 Shaurya Chakras, including seven posthumous, to the personnel of the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces and State/Union Territory Police during Phase-I of Defence Investiture Ceremony 2025 at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi. The Gallantry awards were given to the personnel for displaying raw courage, unparalleled bravery and total disregard to personal safety in the line of duty.
President Smt Droupadi Murmu presented Kirti Chakra (Posthumous) to Colonel Manpreet Singh and Deputy Superintendent of Police Himayun Muzzammil Bhat, J&K Police during Defence Investiture Ceremony 2025 (Phase-1) in New Delhi. The Gallantry awards were received by Colonel Manpreet Singh’s wife Smt Jagmeet & mother Manjeet Kaur and Deputy Superintendent of Police Himayun Muzzammil Bhat’s wife Smt Fatima Ali.
