Multinational air exercise “Iniochos 2025” concluded on 11 April.

“Iniochos 2025” marked the largest participation of air forces since the establishment of the exercise as an INVITEX (Invitation Exercise), with a total of 12 countries actively participating. Specifically, the participating nations were:
• France with Mirage 2000
• India with Su-30
• Israel with G-550
• Italy with Tornado
• Montenegro with Bell 412
• Poland with F-16
• Qatar with F-15
• Slovenia with PC-9
• Spain with F/A-18 Hornet
• United Arab Emirates with Mirage 2000-9
• United States of America with F-16, KC-46 & KC-135
• Greece with all types of HAF fighter jets, helicopters, transport, and training aircraft

1300 sorties were conducted throughout the Athens FIR during the exercise.

In a significant development for India’s defence manufacturing capabilities, Airbornics Defence & Space (ADSL)—the dedicated defence arm of the JCBL Group—has entered into a strategic partnership with Slovakia to co-develop and manufacture next-generation technologies for light tanks, future ready combat vehicles (FRCVs), and future infantry combat vehicles (FICVs). This the first-ever Defence MoU between India and Slovakia.

The Italian 'Black Shark' torpedo, which courted controversy over a decade ago after allegations of irregularities, has emerged as the top contender for an Indian Navy requirement of heavy weight torpedoes after its German competitor dropped out of the race. Germany's ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) has dropped out of the competition to supply 48 heavyweight torpedoes to the Indian Navy for its Kalvari class submarines. This leaves only France's Naval Group in the competition, but its offer could be more expensive than the Italian option, as reported by Economic Times.

Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Air Command chaired an Ops Conclave held on 17 Apr 25 at Prayagraj. The AOC-in-C interacted with the Commanders and reviewed the operational readiness of Stns/ Units under CAC AoR.
