Exercise Dharma Guardian 2025!!
The 6th edition of Joint Military Exercise Dharma Guardian, between India and Japan, is scheduled to be conducted at Mount Fuji, Japan from 25 February to 09 March 2025.
Aim of the exercise is to enhance interoperability between the two forces while undertaking joint urban warfare and counter-terrorism operations under UN mandate.
Building on the momentum of the COAS successful visit to Japan from 14 to 17 October 2024, Exercise Dharma Guardian 2025 will further strengthen the bilateral defence cooperation between India and Japan.

Indian Navy platforms INS Shardul and Long Range Maritime Surveillance P8I aircraft are in Bali, Indonesia, to participate in the International Fleet Review (IFR) 2025. The IFR, a prestigious multinational naval event, will be reviewed by the Hon'ble President of Indonesia and will witness participation of Naval forces from various countries.
This follows the participation of INS Mumbai & the P8I aircraft in the LA PEROUSE exercises in Indonesia in Jan 2025 and visit of Adm Muhammad Ali, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy, to India, as part of the high-level delegation accompanying His Excellency President Prabowo Subianto, the Chief Guest for the Republic Day Parade 2025.

On the recommendation of Panel, President Murmu appoints Gyanesh Kumar as Chief Election Commissioner and Vivek Joshi as Election Commissioner under new law on appointment of election commissioners.
Panel members were PM Modi, HM Shah, LoP Rahul Ghandy.
Rahul Ghandy had walked out of the meeting, PM Modi and HM Shah were in favour of these appointments.
On the recommendation of 2 out of 3 members of the panel, President of India made these appointments.
