UK bags deal to supply MANPADS to Indian Army.

At Aero India 2025, one of the standout agreements between the United Kingdom and India is the significant deal between Thales UK and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL). The contract focuses on delivering advanced Laser Beam Riding MANPADs (LBRM) and an initial supply of STARStreak High Velocity Missiles (HVM) and launchers, scheduled for delivery later this year.

The deal further extends to the production of Lightweight Multirole Missiles (LMM), with BDL set to become an integral part of Thales’ global supply chain.
The French President Emmanuel Macron received the Indian PM Narendra Modi at the Γ‰lysΓ©e Palace with a warm hug.
The 3rd edition of Joint Special Forces Exercise CYCLONE commenced at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan yesterday. The exercise is being conducted from 10th to 23rd February 2025.

Exercise CYCLONE is an annual event conducted alternatively in India and Egypt.

The Indian contingent comprising 25 personnel will be represented by troops from two Special Forces Battalions.
