Indian Navy, NCB, and Gujarat ATS seize over 700 kg of drugs from an Iranian vessel off Porbandar. 08 Iranian nationals have been arrested.
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) District Headquarters No 7 (Odisha), under the aegis of Coast Guard Region (North East), conducted a Regional Level Pollution Response Exercise (Re-PREX-24) at Paradip.

The exercise was aimed to enhance preparedness and coordination among various stakeholders in responding to oil spills and other marine pollution incidents.
β€˜Keel Laying’ ceremony of first of the five Fleet Support Ships (FSS) was held at Hindustan Shipyard, Limited, Visakhapatnam. The ceremony was presided by Vice Admiral B Siva Kumar, Controller Warship Production & Acquisition in presence of Chairman & Managing Director, HSL and other senior officials from Indian Navy and HSL. Indian Navy had signed a contract with HSL for acquisition of five Fleet Support Ships in Aug 2023. The ships are scheduled to be delivered to Indian Navy, commencing mid 2027.
Flight Safety Seminar (FSS) and Annual Naval Flight Safety Meeting (NFSM) for year 2024 were successfully conducted on 12-13 Nov at INS Dega, Visakhapatnam under the aegis of the Headquarters Eastern Naval Command. Flight Safety Seminar commenced on 12 Nov, with the Chief guest, Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command, delivering the key note address.

Centering on the theme "Emerging Threats and Challenges - Naval Air Operations and Compliance with Flight Safety," the seminar focused on contemporary topics, including Advancements in Counter-UAV/ UAS Technologies and Tactics, Cyber Security Risks in Aviation Operations and Countermeasures for Aircraft Systems. The importance of β€˜mindfulness training’ for mental resilience during air operations was also deliberated upon.
A Memorandum of Implementation was signed at the Embassy of India, Tokyo on 15 Nov 24 between Govt of India and Govt of Japan, for co-development of UNICORN mast for fitment onboard Ships of Indian Navy.

The MOI was signed and exchanged between the Ambassador of India to Japan, H.E. Shri Sibi George and Mr. Ishikawa Takeshi, Commissioner of Acquisition Technology and Logistics Agency (ATLA) under Japan MoD in a ceremony at Tokyo.

The Unified Complex Radio Antenna (UNICORN) is a mast with Integrated Communication systems which will help improve the stealth characteristics of Naval Platforms.

The Indian Navy is pursuing the induction of these advanced systems which will be co-developed by Bharat Electronics Limited in India with Japanese collaboration.
