The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on August 26, 2024 rescued 11 crew members from the distressed MV ITT Puma during a challenging night-time Search and Rescue operation. An alumnus of Defence Services Staff College Wellington and US Naval War College, at Newport, USA, the Flag Officer holds an M.Phil. in Defence and Strategic Studies from Mumbai University.
