35-year-old BSF officer has become the first CAPF officer to successfully complete the Ironman challenge, one of the toughest triathlon events across the globe.

Shri Harish Kajla, AC brings in laurels to the Nation and the Force by successfully completing Iron Man Challenge, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, becoming the first officer from CAPFs to successfully complete the challenge.

The Iron Man Challenge comprises of 3 mammoth events which includes, 3.8 Kms of Swim, 180 Kms of Cycling and 42.2 Kms Full Marathon. Cut-Off timing for the event(M35-39) was 15:45:00.

Sh Harish Kajla was able to complete the event and achieve this historic feat in time of 12:42:25.

Assistant Commandant Harish Kajla joined the country's largest border-guarding force in 2012. He is currently on deputation posting to the counter-terrorist commando force National Security Guard (NSG).
PM Narendra Modi embarked on a two-nation visit to Poland and Ukraine on Wednesday.

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh and Minister of Defense, Japan Mr Kihara Minoru held a bilateral meeting, on the sidelines of India-Japan 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue, in New Delhi on August 20, 2024. The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu presented the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar-2024 at an award ceremony held at Gantantra Mandap, Rashtrapati Bhavan (August 22, 2024).

In the first edition of the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar, 33 awards were presented to distinguished scientists in four categories - Vigyan Ratna, Vigyan Shri, Vigyan Yuva, and Vigyan Team.

ISRO chairman S Somanath on August 20, 2024 said the space agency has completed the design for the next round of moon missions Chandrayaan 4 and 5 and is in the process of seeking government approval for the same.

The Chandrayaan-4 mission includes bringing back moon rocks and soil to earth after a soft landing on the lunar surface, launching a spacecraft from the moon, demonstrating a space docking experiment in lunar orbit and getting the samples back to earth.
