J&k Police District Doda Releases Sketches of (03) Terrorists Who Are Moving in Upper Reaches of Doda and Dessa Area and Involved in Recent Terror Incident at Urar Bagi Area of Dessa.

A man was detained by Army officials for impersonating as a Captain of the Indian Army’s Assam Regiment and is suspected of being a spy.

The suspect, identified as Sar Chehon Rongpi from Rongpi Village in Dokmoka, Karbi Anglong District, Assam, was detained in the HQ 101 Area, Shillong by the Indian Army officials on duty at its CSD canteen after finding his behaviour suspicious.

The Indian Navy launched the advanced frigate "Triput" in Goa, a jointly designed warship with Russia.

Lithium deposits have been discovered in the Mandya and Yadgiri districts of Karnataka, with the Atomic Minerals Directorate confirming the presence of 1,600 tonnes of lithium in Mandya.

Preliminary surveys and explorations are underway in Yadgiri to further assess the deposits.

This discovery is significant as lithium is a crucial component in electric vehicle batteries, and the find is expected to support India's growing electric vehicle market, potentially reducing reliance on imports and boosting domestic production.

Central Government has deployed over 2,000 Border Security Force (BSF) personnel from Odisha's Koraput and Malkangiri to Jammu, which has seen a surge in terror attacks.

This decision comes after recent attacks in Jammu resulted in at least 22 deaths, including 11 security personnel.

The BSF personnel, comprising two battalions, are being moved from anti-Naxal operations in Odisha to the terror-hit Jammu region to enhance security and counter the growing threat of terrorism.
