This discovery is significant as lithium is a crucial component in electric vehicle batteries, and the find is expected to support India's growing electric vehicle market, potentially reducing reliance on imports and boosting domestic production.

Central Government has deployed over 2,000 Border Security Force (BSF) personnel from Odisha's Koraput and Malkangiri to Jammu, which has seen a surge in terror attacks.

This decision comes after recent attacks in Jammu resulted in at least 22 deaths, including 11 security personnel.

The BSF personnel, comprising two battalions, are being moved from anti-Naxal operations in Odisha to the terror-hit Jammu region to enhance security and counter the growing threat of terrorism.
