India and Russia have signed 9 MoUs and agreements in several sectors.

The Indian Army has successfully recovered the bodies of three soldiers who went missing in Ladakh nine months ago.
The soldiers were trapped in an avalanche on October 8, 2023, during a training exercise on Mount Kun in Ladakh.
Initially, only one body was recovered, but a dedicated team led by Brigadier SS Shekhawat of the High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS) worked tirelessly to locate the remaining three.
After nine days of digging through 18,700 feet of ice and removing tons of snow, the team finally recovered the bodies.
Brigadier Shekhawat described the mission as the most challenging of his life, both physically and emotionally.
The bodies of the three soldiers have been sent to their respective homes for burial with full military honors.

Two people have been arrested in the Nyoma sector of the Leh district on the charges of smuggling 108 kg gold from china. This arrest and seizure was made by ITBP.

The exercise will commence from 12 Jul to 02 Aug 24 at RAAF airbases of Darwin and Tindal, Australia.
On return, IAF will also participate in Ex. Udara Shakti 24 with RMAF from 05 to 09 Aug 24 at Kuantan, Malaysia.
