IAF Su 30 MKIs ready to participate in Exercise Pitch Black 2024 at Australia. The biennial multinational aerial warfare exercise would commence from 12 Jul to 02 Aug 24 at airbases of Darwin and Tindal, Australia.
On return, IAF will also participate in Ex Udara Shakti 24 with RMAF from 05 to 09 Aug 24 at Kuantan, Malaysia.

In a first, India's private arms manufacturer Stumpp Schuele & Somappa Defence (SSS Defence) has exported Saber Sniper Rifles to a friendly foreign country.
The sniper rifles use the .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge and are supposed to be high-powered rifles for hitting targets at ranges of around 1,500 metres by military snipers.
The sniper rifle, Sabre, is completely designed, manufactured, and tested in India.
Apart from the rifle, SSS Defence has also exported match-grade ammunition worth $50 million to various countries and is in the process of negotiating with several other countries for the export of the rifles and ammunition.

The Indian Army has successfully recovered the bodies of three soldiers who went missing in Ladakh nine months ago.
The soldiers were trapped in an avalanche on October 8, 2023, during a training exercise on Mount Kun in Ladakh.
Initially, only one body was recovered, but a dedicated team led by Brigadier SS Shekhawat of the High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS) worked tirelessly to locate the remaining three.
After nine days of digging through 18,700 feet of ice and removing tons of snow, the team finally recovered the bodies.
Brigadier Shekhawat described the mission as the most challenging of his life, both physically and emotionally.
The bodies of the three soldiers have been sent to their respective homes for burial with full military honors.

Two people have been arrested in the Nyoma sector of the Leh district on the charges of smuggling 108 kg gold from china. This arrest and seizure was made by ITBP.
