Indian female peacekeeper Major Radhika Sen, who served with the UN mission in Congo, will be honoured with a prestigious military gender advocate award. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres described her as a “true leader and role model.”
Major Radhika Sen of the Indian Army has been awarded the prestigious United Nations Military Gender Advocate of the Year Award for the year 2023. This accolade recognises her outstanding contributions to promoting gender equality and women's empowerment in United Nations peacekeeping operations.

First rocket launch from India’s first & only private launchpad within SDSC-SHAR.
It's the world’s 1st flight with single-piece 3D printed rocket-engine.
After several failed attempts, space tech start-up Agnikul Cosmos on Thursday successfully launched its first rocket, Agnibaan SOrTeD (Suborbital Technological Demonstrator), from its own launchpad within the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in Sriharikota near here.
The launch vehicle of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) incubated start-up is the country’s second privately-built rocket.

An IAF contingent reached the Eielson AF Base of US Air Force, at Alaska, USA, to participate in the upcoming edition of the multi-national exercise Red Flag 24.

The delivery of ‘Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile Barge, LSAM 20’, 6th Barge of 11 x ACTCM Barge Project, built by MSME Shipyard, M/s Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd, Thane for Indian Navy, was undertaken on 29 May 24 at Naval Dockyard, Mumbai for NAD(Karanja). The Induction Ceremony was presided over by Cmde Nadella Ramana, GMR, ND(Mbi).
The contract for building 11 X ACTCM Barge was signed between MoD and M/s Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd, Thane on 05 Mar 21.

25T Bollard Pull (BP) Tug, Baljeet has been delivered to Indian Navy (IN) on 30 May 24 in presence of RAdm Sandeep Mehta, ACWP&A. This Tug is a proud flag bearer of “Make in India” initiative of Govt of India.
Contract for construction and delivery of three 25T BP Tugs was concluded with M/s Shoft Shipyard Pvt Ltd (M/s SSPL), an MSME, in consonance with “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” initiative of the Government of India. This Tug is being built under the classification rules of Indian Register of Shipping (IRS).
