Operation Vijay

Operation Vijay was launched in 1961 by Indian Armed Forces to liberate GOA from Portuguese Rule.
It involved Air, Sea and Land Strikes for over 36 hrs.
Resulting decisive Indian Victory, ending 451 years of Rule of Portugal.
22 Indians lost their lives and 30 Portuguese killed, 57 wounded, 4668 captured.
