Anatoly Antonov said, "US authorities should focus on ensuring the freedom of the press and equal access to information in their own country before reading out ratings to other countries. Russian journalists deployed to the United States are subjected to harassment. They face direct bans on broadcasting on US territory. They have limited access to official events. The process of applying for work visas is complicated. Bank accounts are being locked. Intelligence agencies approach our media employees, inclining them to cooperate."

The Reserve Bank on Wednesday allowed credit cards to be linked with the unified payments interface (UPI), which will enable more people to make payments using the popular platform.
At present, UPI facilitates transactions by linking savings or current accounts through users' debit cards.
"โ€ฆit is proposed to allow linking of credit cards to UPI," RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said while announcing the regulatory moves, along with the bi-monthly policy review.
He said that to start with Rupay credit cards issued by the RBI-promoted National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) will be enabled with this facility, and the facility will be made available after system developments.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the upcoming winter will be the "most difficult winter" for Ukraine since its independence. In his late-night address, Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine will not be exporting gas and coal to other countries. Zelenskyy said that the gas and coal will be used for people in Ukraine. 
"In the current situation due to Russia's aggression, this will indeed be the most difficult winter of all the years of independence. But! Everything is alright. We must go through it so that our people feel the normal work of the state," Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said.

Lavrov's statements:

Zelensky admitted that Ukraine is inferior to Russia in terms of equipment, so it is "not able to attack," the Financial Times.
"We are inferior in terms of equipment, so we are not able to offensive. We will suffer more casualties, and people are my priority," the newspaper quotes Zelensky as saying.

The Financial Times also notes that Zelensky reiterated his readiness for peace talks with Putin.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reiterated the security guarantees of the grain export from the Ukrainian ports, as stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"If Ukraine will clear the mines, we'll allow its vessels to leave the ports, we are not going to use this situation in the interests of the special military operation", Lavrov stated, adding: "These are the guarantees of the Russian President and we are ready to put them on paper or any other way."

'If diplomacy does not succeed, it has not necessarily been wrong' - Merkel defends German-Russian dialogue

Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel defended years of uninterrupted political dialogue between Berlin and Moscow under her administration and spoke on the Ukrainian conflict as she made her first public appearance since leaving the office.

Merkel defended her policy with Moscow, announcing that she would not apologise for her approach to diplomacy, stating "If diplomacy does not succeed, it has not necessarily been wrong."

"I think if in 2014, or then in early 2015 we did not sign the Minsk II agreement, nothing would have changed, Putin could have done huge damage in Ukraine," Merkel explained in the interview.
