Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth today visited the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) based in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. He was apprised on the pivotal role played by ARTRAC in the form of institutionalised training, formulation of Doctrines & Concepts based upon contemporary & future challenges faced by Indian Army as well as development in the aspects of military leadership.

RRM acknowledged the Command’s role in transforming the Indian Army into a modern, technology driven, _Aatmanirbhar_ and battle-ready force through absorption of niche technology & initiatives.
Indian Army is all set to get Rs 30,000 crore boost with a new surface-to-air missile system expected to be cleared for acquisition by the Defence Ministry soon.

The Defence Ministry is scheduled to take up the proposal for buying three regiments of the indigenous Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile system (QRSAM) for the Army Air Defence for deployment along both western and northern borders.
