ID2020 is a prototype digital identity system. The project is supported by the UN and is part of the Sustainable Development Goals initiative.

Days after convicting Yasin Malik in a terror funding case, the Special NIA court sentenced the Kashmiri separatist and chief of the banned Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) to Life Imprisonment with Fine & Rigorous Imprisonment on Wednesday. The sentencing by special judge Praveen Singh came after Malik stated that he is 'not going to beg' for anything, and left the quantum of sentence to the discretion of the court.  

The United States has decided to end a waiver that allowed Russia to pay its international debts. The decision announced by the US Treasury Department could make Russia closer to default, BBC News reported.
